I read many positive reviews for this affordable Invospa massager before ordering. But I must say, my first experience using it exceeded my expectations. I suffer from chronic muscle-tightness in my neck. This massager is simple plug-in and use right out of the box. And I was amazed at how thouroughly and firmly the 8 massage rollers worked the tight muscles in my neck. My personal preference is the highest of the 3 levels of easily adjustable intensity. The added pressure at that level is just right for my personal comfort. Like so many in my senior age group, I also suffer from some lower back pain. And while I bought this massager specifically seeking relief from the muscle tightness and tension in my neck, the relief it provided when put to work on my lower back was also pleasantly surprising. I cannot speak in review of the heat function of this massager. I have not yet used it. But based on the apparent high quality of this shiatsu massager, and its thus-far excellent performance in massage mode, I think it is reasonable to assume the heating function will work as intended. I cannot compare this massager with other massagers on the market. I have not used another with which to compare. I chose this one based on its abundance of 5-Star reviews from others , and for what I considered to be an attractive price for the apparent quality and feaures it offered. I ordered it in the afternoon. It arrived same evening. And It did not disappoint. So, thankfully, I have no need to shop further. 5-Stars, period. It’s honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon ever. I work at a desk all day and also sleep in weird positions because my kid sleeps crazy so my neck and shoulders stay tight and sore constantly. This thing has been amazing for releasing tension and loosening up knots I didn’t even realize I had. The massage pressure is strong enough to actually feel effective, and the heat feature makes it even better. It feels like having a deep tissue massage at home whenever I need it. I use it almost daily now, especially after work or before bed. I’ll use it up to 45 minutes just watching tv. If you deal with neck, shoulder, or upper back tension, I highly recommend this. Nice little massager. Gives a pretty decent massage with hard balls like in the fancy IJoy chairs. I got it more for my legs, specifically, my calves. It does a pretty good job. A little awkward at times, as my leg tends to slide off the massaging balls. The heat in it doesn't get very warm. I wish it would be hotter. But it's a nice low level warmth to it. My massage therapist recommended this massager just before Christmas as he boyfriend uses it when she doesn't have time to massage him. I tried it out and liked it. I got one for my mom also as she has back pain with shooting pains down her leg. On Christmas Day, she was hurting a lot and she'd already opened the gift. I told her to try it out, so she did. She was moaning and groaning and when it was done said "oh, thank you, that really helped." I like that it comes with a small carrying case. It JUST fits inside it, it's a tight fit. I wish the bag was a tad bit bigger so I don't have to struggle to put the machine away. The plug prongs, I wish were foldable as they punctured the back of the massager a bit while it was in the bag for a couple of days. So, be sure you put the prongs facing away from the machine. I love this *so* much! I can focus as much pressure & time on any specific spot I need. Soooo good! Great deep tissue pressure, and very effective pain relief. The heat is great when I want it, and easy to turn it off. In fact, all of the controls make it easy to customize every session. The massager seems to be well made, and I think it works the way it’s supposed to. It’s just way too heavy to sit on me. I have fibromyalgia, and that makes it painful to use. I’m sure it’s a good product. It’s just not for me.

During last year's Christmas shopping, we came across something like this at Brookstone, but it cost way too much. But then I found this, basically the same thing, for about a third of the cost. Sure, I was skeptical at first, but it's been really nice since. Pros: + feels SOOOO good. + Settings are easy to reach on the left shoulder + Comfortable material + I didn't understand the heat settings until I tried it once during a migraine. It has to be working for a bit of time before you feel it, but once you do, you understand why it's there. + Its original setting is to switch directions every 30 seconds or so, but you can also change it so that it continues in that direction, instead. + Great for after a good workout - loosens you up, gets the blood flowing, relaxing, too. + relatively long cord + Though I wouldn't suggest using it while driving (it actually advertises that), it does come with a car lighter adapter. I could see this being useful for a passenger. + Actually helpful in the midst of a migraine -- though it doesn't do much to combat the spots, it does loosen up the tension in the upper back/neck area, which gets real tight during a migraine. + I've also used it while sitting at the desk on working on the computer. + strength of the massage can be greater or less by how hard you pull down your arms (it fits around your forearms, so it's not counter-productive). + Comes with a cute carrying bag (my wife's used the bag alone for the gym). + Honestly, I feel it does about as good a job (if not better) as the professional massage places (but way less expensive, and something I can stay home and do). + Works on other parts of the body, also: + + Back of the legs + + lower back + + Arms I'll often loosen it up from my shoulders and let it "walk" down my back, allowing it to hit other areas of it. Feels awesome! Cons: - The plug sparks each time I plug it into the wall, so I try to remember to plug that in before connecting it to the massager. -The mesh area (part that goes up around neck) sometimes feels like it's going to tear. It hasn't yet, but you know when a material becomes less flexible and crackles when it's stretched? It's doing that. I hope it doesn't tear, and hasn't yet, but I am mindful of it. - I'm beginning to wish it was also cordless - it's not, you have to have it plugged in to work. All the ones I reviewed that claimed cordless though said they didn't last very long, which is why I went with the corded model. But I can see now how cordless would be nice. I was constantly feeling tired in my neck & upper back. I used salves, hot showers, sauna, etc. - no consistent relief. Also, I've never had a massage in my life. I decided to purchase this product, it arrived same day. It is great! Listen, it does not replace an actual massage, I'm sure, but it does what needs to be done. It relieved my pain almost instantly, especially once I learned to move it around to different places on my neck, shoulders and upper back & to adjust it accordingly. It's super easy to use, there are 4 buttons & I am not sure of what each settings does specifically, but all of them work well. The price is right! It also runs by electrical cord, it's not rechargeable and there are no batteries needed. Also, there's some type of pluggable adapter to supply electricity (think plugging it into a generator). I was not sure if it would work, but it does and I highly recommend buying it. Lastly, the heat is not blazing, but the temp is nice and comfortable. ... show more
