For the record the twin bed is on the floor directly, no platform or frame so most of it gets tucked under. I wanted a nomadic low area in the room so the twin bed worked fine for that. The skirt goes well with the bedding I got. I was looking for a cotton bedspread when I ran across this set. It was reasonably priced and had good reviews so I ordered it. I am so glad that I did as it's exceeded my expectations! It is a pretty, colorful quilt set and very comfortable in use. I washed it before putting it on our bed and it came through beautifully. It is large enough to hang over the sides and foot of our king size bed, covering the mattress plus a bit more. The shams fit our king pillows and tie closed on the end. The front of the shams are the quilted material while the back is just regular, cotton fabric in the same striped pattern. I like this set so much that I have considered ordering another set in either queen or king size for our other beds. I highly recommend it if you find it attractive. There are similar sets by this company in other patterns too. Shop around for them and the best price as it is available from other internet and local stores as well, but Amazon's price was the best deal for me. This is a good quilt. It looks nice and has a good weight to it (it was heavier than I expected). As others have noted, there are some rust and yellow-ish colors, but I do think you can see them in the picture. I thought they were fine and the blues, greens and browns are still what catches my eye the most. It might depend on the other colors in your room. I have a lot of green, brown, and gray already, so I don't mind the other colors for some variety. My one observation is this did take a good amount of time to dry on the low heat setting of my dryer. I had it in there alone with 6 dryer balls and still had to run it through multiple timed (non-sensored) cycles. Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase. ... show more

Good colors. King. (I have it sideways, the stripes run head to toe). Plenty long from head to toe, even if you like to cover your pillow and tuck it under the front of the pillows.... but, barely enough coverage down the sides to cover a standard height mattress. Could be 2-3 in longer on both sides and Id then love it. Probably fits finewhen stripes run sideways. Looks nice. ... show more

I bought this for my toddler's first big boy bed. He has a woodland themed room and this was a great way to tie in all of the colors. The fact that it's not themed or too cutesy means he can use it for many years. I'd also be happy to use it for a guest bed, since it's so neutral. The fabric feels high quality and durable. I purchased the twin Stone Cottage Fresno Quilt to serve as a winter blanket on a queen size bed - layered between a top flat sheet & a T.Bahama comforter. The twin size width is important so it will lay on the queen size bed with minimal left & right side overhang. Works like a charm – good color match, relatively soft hand, 100% cotton (my personal preference) and warm during chilly winter desert nights. I looked for a long time to find a quilt or coverlet that wasn't covered with flowers. I love the look and the feel of this quilt. It is just the right weight - not too heavy and not too light. It fits our king size bed beautifully with enough hanging over the edge to cover the extra deep mattress. It does not go as far down as the one pictured, though. We have washed it several times and it did not shrink. It holds up to our cat as well. It comes with two matching shams that are easy to put on and remove. They look great with the quilt.
