  • Dog really responds!
Color: Black
My dog has entered the most crucial period for training, she is a year old. She is a large breed dog , and I am a very small woman. I use this for off leash training, here in my own yard, in an area that used to be rural but is rapidly changing. I haven't had to use anything but the beep and vibrate mode, the beep just refocuses her attention to me, while she finds the vibration mode very annoying. Most of my training is done the old fashioned way. Consistency and hands on. The following is an example of when more was needed. My young nephew lives here and bought a small motorcycle, which of course my dog sized puppy loves to chase. We were outside playing fetch ( with the chuck it ball thrower I also highly recommend), when my nephew takes off on his motorcycle much to my surprise. She ran after him, but after 3 short bursts on vibrate, she was immediately back by my side ready to play ball again. Another problem I have had is her excitement when people walk in my house. For which I use the beep to get her attention first, then vibrate if that doesn't do the trick. An e-collar is not a magic pill, it wont do your job for you, but it certainly helps with off leash training, and refocusing my dogs attention back to me, her owner and trainer. The dog I train her to be in the next six months to a year is the dog I will have forever. I believe dogs need to run off some energy every day, especially my dog who is a Goldmaraner, well documented for their need to run everyday. Off leash they also learn to think for themselves , and satisfy their curiosity which makes for a more intelligent dog in the long run, in my opinion, I have had many dogs over the years. The battery life of the collar and the hand held remote has been great so far, still seems to be charged after a whole days use, I put it on the charger anyway, but have had no trouble with that. I also am very happy with the collar this unit comes with, and the device on it, it stays on the collar, no falling off or twisting like my last e collar, which I threw in the trash due to this problem, ( this was with my previous large breed dog) The basic design is quite solid, the collar threads through slots on the back of the device that vibrates, making it impossible to lose. The manufacturer sent me a charging block, when I wrote and told her I didn't have one, and a lanyard that really works great ,so I have my hands free, just for my trouble. I highly suggest you buy a lanyard, I nearly lost the remote before I put the lanyard on it, when it fell out of my pocket. (the way you attach the little loop is through the two holes on the corner of the remote ) Thank you Invirox! Great cost, and a great product! I waited months to review this because I wanted hands on experience first. Now I give it 5 stars! ... show more

  • Long, long, long lasting battery
Color: Gray
Collar works great so far. Good quality, easy to use. Extremely long lasting battery, the collar is going on almost 2 weeks without being charged. Exactly what we needed. 6 week edit - The collar has still been amazing. I’m so impressed I thought to update this review. The low battery light came on today exactly 6 weeks after putting it on our dog. Incredible compared to previous collar that needed charged every 1.5 days. Wish we knew about this collar a few years sooner! ... show more

  • Amazing product.
Color: Spark K9
Product works great. Pet responds well to the vibration and audible chirp. When in dire situations, the shock can be very powerful so use sparingly as it really really lights them up. The customer service is beyond helpful and very responsive. Thank you for your service.

  • Electronically its the same as all other under $100 eCollars, but...
Color: Spark K9
Most folks will agree it's important to get a solid recall from a field dog. It's one thing to get a reliable recall in a training facility or a fenced in meadow with few distractions. It doesn't take long to realize that recalls in the woods or around water are a different matter because of distractions -- geese, squirrels, rabbits, deer, what have you. It takes only moments for my 70 pound Doberman to go deaf charging after who knows what in the in the brush. So my training goal is to convince him the break off his charge on command. A daunting task. Yet that's precisely where an electric collar is useful to get your dog's attention. So the reliable range of this electronic training collar is important. Towards this end my wife and I set about mapping the area in which this particular collar would be effective. What we discovered is that in wooded terrain this collar had a roughly 200 yard effective range. If the terrain was rough, like the steep banks around a creek, the dog can easily be where the signal does not reach. So our rule with electronic collars is "if you can't see your dog don't expect your signal to reach more than 200 yards" regardless of the manufacturer's claims. The reason is simple. In the United States at the moment (May 2025) shock collars and transmitters operate on four bands – 26.995, 27.045, 27.095, 27.145, or 27.195 MHz. In this range the US Federal Communications Commission limits the transmitter output to 30 microvolts at 30 meters (if you want to go into the electronic weeds see FCC OET BULLETIN NO. 63). Go over that power and stiff fines await the manufacturer. So, every electronic dog collar manufacturer is limited to exactly the same maximum power. That means it's unlikely that there's much difference in the range of one electronic collar or another. Yes, longer antennas can help as can holding the transmitter high. But we're talking nuance here. So why does this eCollar cost nearly twice as much as some other collars? It's probably because of nicer cases, longer antennas and features like multiple collars (that I never use), stainless or rare metal plated electrodes and automatic beep before shock. But in the field, the all important matter of range for all eCollars is still subject to the identical power limitation. What I do like about this particular eCollar are its simple controls, the neck strap for the transmitter, and that it arrived already paired. I think it can be used with gloves (yea! for winter use). The range is no worse than other under $100 eCollars. And because pairing in the field can be a PITA, it's nice to know the device went from the manufacturer to me *without losing its pairing.* ... show more
