  • Subtle in its art of Subtlety
Style: 1775
I won't bore you with how many watches I own, nor will I attempt to clarify the quality of Japanese movement in comparison to Swiss movement. If you are here and reading this, chances are you already know. What is relevant, however, is the quality and presentation of this Invicta 1775. I am a Chronograph lover. In fact, I'll even go so far as to say it is the only kind of watch I will buy. In this particular case, I wanted something that would give me a different feel to what I already have. I wanted something that was not as boisterous as my Breitling, nor as boring as my Movado. When I found the 1775, I did my research, read reviews and perused many forums. Amazon clearly had the best price (especially with Prime!), so I bought it. Here is what initially attracted me to this watch: 1. I wanted a two-toned Rose Gold and Stainless Steel/Silver watch. 2. I wanted a classy face that gave the impression of both sophistication and reservation. 3. I wanted an affordable, yet quality timepiece. I chose next-day shipping, and it was delivered as such. Very nice, Amazon! Upon unpacking the watch, I was greeted with a very chic presentation. The watch is listed at 43mm, so the face of the watch was the main focal point with its champagne colored dial, its rose gold colored bezel, and its stainless steel casing. It is quite a dashing combination. The rose gold is a shade or two darker in person. I think the lighting in the picture on its Amazon page almost gives it a pinkish tone. It is much more attractive in person. The numbers, chronograph accents and all hands are silver colored. The chronograph displays 1/10 seconds, seconds, and minutes. Interestingly enough, the watch does not incorporate a date function, which is a bit odd for a Pro Divers designed watch. The band is stainless, but the middle is rose gold plated that runs the length until the clasp. The clasp does make me desire for something heavier, but once you strap in on your wrist and lock it in, you don't ever notice that it feels like light aluminum. The band is listed at 22mm. I am larger than the average male, standing 6'4" and weighing about 260. This watch looks perfect on my wrist. I have a 52mm watch that just seems like out of place when I wear it, whereas this 1775 seems to fit seamlessly and enhance any outfit. I wear suit and tie most days, and this watch simply augments the outfit. The subtle details that this watch adds to a nicely pressed shirt is quite satisfying. I have also worn this watch dressed down in a pair of blue jeans and a polo. It does attract some attention when its flying solo on your forearm, but that is to be expected when you wear something that is different. I would, and already have, recommend this watch to friends and family. Although, I do try to encourage the purchase of other Invictas for selfish reasons as I want the only 1775 in the group of people I know. It is a very different timepiece, but different in a very subtle, classy and stylish way. I recommend adding this one to your collection. ... show more

  • Great buy!! Great buy!!
Style: 19157
On time as scheduled and a great buy. Ordered yesterday and came this morning in time for Father’s Day celebration. The watch has a good weight to it and is very elegant, the face is a little on the medium size for anyone that knows invictas there known for there large faces and big side knobs this is more subtle and elegant love the watch good quality for a great price. And of course it’s an invicta you can’t go wrong. ... show more

  • 10 stars!
Style: 1775
I bought the women's version of this watch and loved it so much that I bought the men's for my husband. It is so magnificent! It is quite large, and you will probably have to have it sized, as Invicta watches are known for coming with large bands. My husband is a very masculine man but wears dress shirts to work...I completely agree that this watch looks amazing with a dress shirt. It looks so classy, and the perfect amount of flashiness to attract attention, but is in no way gaudy or effeminate despite the rose gold. I can't say enough about this watch, except that you won't be disappointed!!! It also looks good with white gold, platinum, and rose gold wedding rings! ... show more

  • The perfect gift
Style: 19157
The perfect gift for my hubby. I got him two of these and it’s been almost two years and they still work like brand you. It has a good weight to it. The bands are easy to change and fix to size. The price was very affordable and worth it.

  • Four and a half stars, +
Style: 1775
I bought the 1770 and 1771 before I ordered this 1775. Whoever said the photography doesn't do the product justice was absolutley right. Much more impressive in the flesh than online. Rose gold may not be the big fad it was a couple of years ago, but I've always loved it, and this is one very handsome rendition. Based on this model and the low cost for this segment of the Pro Divers, I'll probably go ahead and order the 1774 as well. 1. Size: In this fad-crazed day of over-sized pieces, this case is just right. It's substantial enough to look-up-to date, but not so huge as to be cartoonish. I'm 6'-0" and 185, and frankly I think anything over 45mm wide and 13mm looks like I'm about 10 years old and trying to wear one of Daddy's watches. At 44mm wide and 12mm tall, this watch is hefty without being stupid. Anything over 46mm is out of my book for good. 2. Readability: I've always gravitated to diver-style watches because the hands and indexes are usually well-sized and clearly readable in the best and worst of lighting conditions. The other Invictas I've owned have performed well in the dark hours, and these are no exception. Nice big markers and the hour hand and sweep second are easy to see. The minute hand is a little thin for my tastes, but by contrast in shape to the others is still easy enough to read. 3. Bracelet: Classic, substantial and comfortable. The links are easily removed and added for correct sizing; sometimes the pins are absurdly tight - these are tight enough to be very secure, but are still easily removed to change the overall length. The clasp is solid and closes tightly and gives plenty of confidence. 4. Functionality: The chronometer functions certainly work, but frankly they are secondary to the mission. For the stopwatch function to be really useful, the sweep second hand should really be the prime indicator, instead of the top subdial. Who cares? The little dial works well enough for incidental use, and having a real sweep second hand is frankly more useful for everyday use. The bezel is very smooth to operate, but still solidly ratcheted. The only shortcoming I have to throw in here is that, as others have posted, it really ought to have a screw-down crown. I swim, snorkel and sweat with my other Invictas on and have never had an issue, so I don't imagine I'll have any issues with these, but still, a 200m watch should have a screw-down crown. The watch is a winner, and for the price (anywhere under $100), it's a knockout. I only wish Invicta were still making it, and they could add a few more color-ways to the lineup. I'd have been ready to buy a black/green, blue/green, black/orange and blue/orange as well, and maybe some yellows too! ... show more

  • Great watch
Style: 19157
I bought this a few months ago. I had the band adjusted slightly for size (literally removed a link), but no issues at all, it's been a great watch, very well built with no problems. I bought this one because I own another Invicta watch I have had for a few years, and it's been great, I liked the color scheme on this one (gold with blue face). No problems at all with water resistance, it works exactly as advertised. ... show more

  • Wowwie Zowwie, what a great watch
Style: 1775
Water resistant to a surrealistic 200 meters, superb crafstmanship, and unbeatable price! This is a rugged yet luxurious wrist-mounted timepiece that has been on my arm while collecting rock samples in the Wenatchee National Forest without incurring a scratch. By the way, this is extremely rugged rock-hounding mountains and scratches on equipment is inevitable... none so far on the watch though it has been accidentally struck directly on the crystal dial several times - not a scratch on it! ... show more
