Why did you pick this product vs others?: I volunteer at the National Seashore 2 to 5 days a week during sea turtle nesting season. I needed a new dive watch that could withstand the sand and occasional sea water exposure. This watch is very close to the Fossil watch I needed to replace (my husband broke it while trying to replace the battery.) This watch is affordable, beautiful, and and sturdy enough to hold up in the elements. I had another volunteer ask me if it was a Rolex, lol! She told me she worked for decades in a high end jewelry store and specialized in Rolex and other top watch brands. She couldn't tell the difference until she got a closer look.     • Be ready to have watchmaker resize the bracelet!

I received the Invicta Pro Diver watch yesterday. I was pretty impressed by the fit and finish. The weight is a good weight, about the same as my Rolex Submariner, about 145 grams, if I recall. Really a pretty impressive knockoff. I've tried other Invicta watches and they were just too big, heavy and bulky. This one is nice. NOTE: THIS WATCH DID NOT COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO SHORTEN THE BRACELET!!! I Googled it and it looked simple BUT IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT and I could not do it myself. A Rolex band has screws and is much, much simpler to adjust, even for the average guy with the correct small screw driver I have a friend who is a watch maker/broker so I took it to him to have the bracelet resized. IT TOOK HIM OVER AN HOUR TO REMOVE TWO LINKS on this bracelet. He bent three of his tools trying to get the pins out. I was worried that he'd would not be successful, but in the end he was. I watched him wrestle with it, curse at it, try pin pushers, punches, everything you could name. Taking links out of this bracelet was a freakin' ordeal! If I had to pay for watch repair services for this a stranger would have charged me more than I paid for the watch. I guess you get what you pay for. After about 45 minutes I was about to declare the watch defective and return it. But in the end he was successful. But perhaps this watch bracelet IS defective? It should not have been that difficult for a pro and should have had instructions in the first place. You've been warned. Now that the bracelet issue is settles, I suspect it will serve me well. Looks like a Rolex Submariner but without the Rolex name, cost and presumably quality. I just wanted a watch that didn't have "name bling" but was still a classy looking watch. Would I recommend it? Not with the bracelet issue that I had to go through. If I could do half stars I'd give it 3.5 stars for the excruciatingly painful bracelet resizing. But it got 4 stars for everything else. These are the ar15 of watches I weld and fabricate all day in this thing and it's very close to a submariner a bit of an homage that commonly gets compliments. Recommend nato band . Also great for beginner watch tinkerers . Lots of aftermarket available parts to modify these guys the pro diver line is a must . ... show more
