Wearing a wrist watch, for me and many others, isn't a common day-to-day experience anymore. So when its finally time to wear one, at an event or important meeting, it's good to have something a bit nicer and something that stands out a little. Invicta really pulls through with this Aviator watch, which has a blue and silver aesthetic that pops without being garish. The watch face also manages to look fancy and technical without actually being all that complicated. There are plenty of dials on this watch, a feature which can sometimes be annoying if all you really want to know is the time, but it only took about 3 minutes with the manual to learn their individual functions (and how to set them). The standard hour/minute hands are large and function in the typical manner, but the second hand exists on a smaller dial at the center-bottom of the face. The larger second-hand, as well as the small dial on the left, is part of the timer (i.e. the chronograph) feature) that is set/reset by the upper and lower crowns. Additionally, there's a 24-hour clock in a smaller setting on the right of the face and also a date indicator just below that. These various features and sub-dials makes for a fairly large watch. It fits fine on my medium-sized wrists, but I'd recommend it more to somebody a bit larger. The strap is made of blue-silicone, which is a comfortable material and looks good, but I do feel that a stainless steel band would look a little nicer. Though the display box, which is bright yellow and made of leather (or fake leather), is pretty stunning all by itself. Even though it's on the larger-side for me, I still think Invicta has made a great watch. I'd definitely recommend it, especially as a nice gift, and I plan on wearing mine whenever the occasion call for it. ... show more

I own many Invicta watches and I do like this one, but there are some issues. The reason I didn't give it five stars is because I had to send the first one back because the blue started coming off of the bezel. Now with the second one it has not come off but has faded. Not enough to make it look bad but enough to bug me. Plus the trinite dial markers glow in the dark does not work well. I had it in strong sunlight for hours and that night I could barely see it in the dark. I think invicta missed the mark in this one! If you're not worried about details, then buy it. It's a comfortable good looking watch, just not up to the normal Invicta standards in my opinion. ... show more

**NOTE ON CHRONOGRAPH**: I put this up front because it's important. When you order this watch, you get the VK63 model which has a 60-minute chronograph, not a 24-hour chronograph as the product description above states. This is easy to confirm on the watch because when you press the chronograph reset button, the 24-hour dial stays in sync with the timekeeping function and does not reset to zero. The only hands that reset when you push the reset button are the 60-minute dial on the left, and the large second hand. (The second hand for timekeeping is the small dial at the bottom.) If you want a 12-hour chronograph, search for the VK67 model. It has smaller dials on the top, left, and bottom quadrants of the watch face. There does not appear to be an Invicta with a 24-hour chronograph in this product line, according to the materials I received with this watch. So with that out of the way, I want to continue with my watch review. The Invicta Aviator watch is a huge, heavy, solidly built, attractive watch. The sapphire face should be scratch-free under normal use. The watch is rated water resistant to 100 meters or 330 feet, which is deeper than I ever plan to go. The bezel rotates for keeping track of time underwater, or you can use the chronometer function instead (or in addition). To use the chronometer, press the bottom button to reset and the top button to start. The seconds are tracked at 1/5 second intervals using the large second hand. The time and date are easy to set, pull the crown out one stop for the date, and pull the crown out to the second step (all the way out) to set the time. No need to set the date by sweeping the hour and minute hands through a whole day or more. The watch is quiet; no clicking sounds either during normal use or chronometer use. ... show more

Talk about a nice watch! First, once it arrives the case is bright yellow and is very nice (perfect for a nice gift!). The watch is heavy-please keep that in mind. The weight screams "classy." The watch is easy to set (a huge plus!). The band is adjustable and very comfortable to wear-those men with hairy wrists do not have to worry about hair getting caught (which happens in traditional metal bands). The hands aren't "super easy" to see, but it is a matter of getting used to it. The color of the band is slightly darker than the dial, but very nice compliment to one another. We have not used this in a swimming pool or lake, but it hasn't shown any issue with waterproof issues in the shower. Extremely happy with this! My son (college student) has received numerous compliments on this watch! ... show more
