  • LOVE THIS MODEL OF INVICTA!!! HAS THE CASE & MOVEMENT OF A $500 TO $800 WATCH EASY!
i love these invicta divers that have either the citizen miyota auto movements in them or the incredible seiko NH35 auto hacking. if you look at numerous quality auto watches these days, both high capacity divers and military, you will find that if not swiss they will be using the NH35 seiko movement in them. it's incredible...most people find it keeps time as accurately as a chronometer, or nearly so. if regulated by a watchmaker, this movement will match the accuracy of a swiss chronometer. i've had that famous swiss brand that was the original Bond watch, and can tell you. so much for the movement. this grand diver is not the snorkeling sport watch invicta, which is a great piece you can usually get for just under $100. this one has the 300 meter/1000ft dive resistance, so it is indeed scuba/dive worthy. the case quality on these grand divers is superlative. again, you'll think you got one of those original Bond watches. looks wise too. invicta does not do a knock off of that iconic original Bond watch, but they have created what in the industry is called an 'homage' watch, which captures the essentials of the original, with a few styling differentials that are minor but make the piece not a knock off. rather, a style or type. and in fact rolex took their submariner watch from blancpain's 50s fathoms watch in the 50s, so don't let it get to you that this invicta has a similar style to another famous brand. that's watches. just know this is of the highest specifications for a timepiece that you could get for under $1500. and that pricepoint is not inflated. i've had plenty of swiss, as well as seikos, and this piece has one of the best seiko movements in it with a case construction equal to many seikos and mid-to-higher end swiss. i've about 3 of these in different styles. one with a cool wood dial. another i left on the bracelet (and this is one heck of a bracelet, with solid end links), and this one i just took off the bracelet and put on a commando strap with a bund back...very commando, Mr. Bond. it looks superb. everything else is great. the unidirectional bezel, solid and precise, screw in crown. hacking movement. ez set date. at $300, which is what they often sell these grand divers for, it's a no brainer. but if you look you can pick these up for at least 30% off, as i did here on amazon. you will not go wrong. NOTE: you hear fools talk about how their watches fogged up when they took them in the shower, or didn't keep accurate time when they wore it for a few hours a day. these people are dangerous to other watch enthusiasts. you never take a watch into a shower or hot tub, the heat expands the case and when it cools you will have H20 in your watch. ANY watch. and this is an auto watch...even the finest swiss chronometers will lose time if you wear it at your desk all day, or have it on for only a few hours. knocks on this xlnt timepiece like that are foolish. i'd get this right now if i were you. i'm me, and have 3 of these in other colors/dials already, and i got it. i love it. ... show more

  • Another winner from Invicta!
This is my ninth Invicta. Some I have owned for over 20 years. They all look brand new and have functioned perfectly, with incredible accuracy. Even those in gold-tone or gold-and-stainless still look new (the gold-tone hasn't worn off in the least). I bought this Pro Diver for the beautiful teal blue dial and bezel. It's a substantial watch but not too big for my 7" wrist - and totally comfortable. I own two other Invictas this same size. I've read comments about Invicta's quality control, but my experience has been uniformly flawless. I had to return only one of them over the years because an end-link in the bracelet arrived frozen and couldn't flex - but nothing was wrong with the watch itself. I prefer automatics. These have Seiko movements. I also own high-end watches. But as far as money for value, nothing in my experience beats Invicta. ... show more

  • Whenever I check the time, I have to smile.
This is a very handsome, classy, large dive watch in a unique and beautiful color. I actually bought the Invicta 3045 (the blue version of this one) first, and ended up returning it because I was not satisfied with its shade of blue, nor the color match between the face and bezel. I'm so happy I traded for this one. The color of this watch is hard to describe: the Invicta web site calls it "midnight" blue but it has a good dose of green in it too. I would call it a "dark teal" color. The color is very compatible with the greenish lume on the hands and face. The bracelet links are fully polished, which is another difference from the 3045, which has a mix of brushed and polished. The combination of all polished surfaces and the dial color make this watch look classy indeed. Bracelet construction is solid links, but nothing super special; it just does the job and looks sharp. Spring bars are nice and thick. The Invicta Grand Diver is a big, bulky hunk of a watch to wear. But I have an 8.2 inch wrist, so the size looks great on me. Those with smaller wrists might consider the smaller size Pro Diver model instead, which comes in the same color. My tired old eyes love the cyclops (date magnifier). Others may hate having a blip on the crystal. Proven Seiko automatic movement, how can you go wrong there? My only complaint about the watch is that its lume (the glowing stuff on hands and dial) is relatively weak, and the brightness of the hand and dial lume does not match. But all of this for a little over $100? This watch is a steal! ... show more

  • SOLID
This Grand Diver by Invictus. Is a very nice time piece, with some reservations. For the price I'm very happy with the purchace. But I have 3 things I would change to make it the perfect diver. 1. ITS BIG. compared to other, more expensive divers watches its very thick and heavy. I know invicta fans like that but it's no longer fashionable and while this watch isn't over board like some of the invicta's a millimeter or two thiner and it really would compete with the big boys for looks. 2. A satin finish rather than the high shine finish would have been a little classier and lesser gaudy. 3. It's Bloody heavy! Like I said I like this watch and for the money it's an amazing watch and I can whole heartedly recommend it UDATE. I cannot take this watch off. It has become one of my favorite daily wears. It's sturdy. Clean looking keeps impeccable time and gets lots of compliments. My previous comments still stand but rest assured you won't be disappointed by this timepiece. ... show more

  • Really fun and gorgeous to wear...feels like heavy quality.
I have ordered three different Invicta watches recently, and one in women's for my sister. You put this on...and magically you feel rich. The quality of these are super thick, heavy and look like a million dollars. I am happy with these purchases. Look around to get the best price on Amazon. Mine was around $80. They will go up in price. ... show more
