  • VERY Nice Watch
Style: 1771
This watch presents as beautiful, durable, stylish and much more expensive than it is - from a distance. The blue and red "Pepsi" bezel looks darker and better than pictured and the numerals are silver. It takes some other styling cues from the Rolex GMT- Master II but because the bezel has diver elapsed-time numbers instead of the 24 hour setup of the GMT II and it's a chronograph this watch doesn't seem to try to be a Rolex clone which is probably why it doesn't have Invicta stamped on the side of the case. The screw down crown and pushers look excellent and work well, as does the chronograph movement. The VD55B Caliber movement is very accurate, it hasn't gained or lost any time since it was set (two weeks ago). The band is thick with solid durable links (except the end link) and the double clasp works well. It was quite easy to remove excess links and wears comfortably, especially for such a big and heavy watch. My only gripe with this watch is the second hand. It sweeps haltingly and irregularly, and fails to align with half of the minute marks as it tracks around the watch face. To me this makes the movement appear cheap and brings down the value of the watch when viewed up close. Still, it's not a Tag and for under $80, overall this is a VERY attractive chronograph that is solid and waterproof to 200 meters and is absolutely worth having. ... show more

  • Fantastic watch at a great price! Fantastic watch at a great price!
Style: 1771
Come on! The price on this definitely dictates a 5 star review. It wears, feels and looks like a $500 watch. You can’t beat that for about $80. If you want a beat around watch that looks great, keeps great time and you don’t have to worry about damaging an expensive watch then this is it! Love this watch! ... show more

  • Another solid Invicta Offering!
Style: 1771
This marks my 11th Invicta purchase. I have a few automatics and have collected a few styles over the years. I love them all and they have all functioned flawlessly for years. The 1771 is no different than my previous purchases. The traditional metal bracelet is solid and has a nice weight to it. I have small wrists so I always have to remove links but that is easily achieved with some simple watch repair tools. The crown does not lock on this model but it hasn't been an issue. I have had no instances of moisture entering the watch. I am a diver but I traditionally don't wear shiny diver's watches when in the water so I don't foresee any problems. I am a fan of coin edge bezels and this two tone red and blue bezel is tight and precise. The chronograph functions are nice as well but for me it's more of an aesthetic feature. I will update if there are any issues in the future but so far so good! I am typically hard on watches and I love how all my Invictas have held up over the years. I have no issue purchasing a watch around the $100 mark if it performs it functions and looks good. I am not a watch snob so I think it is pointless to try and compare these watches to higher end watches at higher price points. Invicta makes nice pieces that present well and that is all I require. With the quantity of watches sold it is not surprising that there will be those that have problems. I find that to be true with most products. I personally have never had an issue, as stated above, so I will continue to add to my collection as opportunities arise. Cheers All! ... show more

  • Thoughts of a watch nerd... CxB is good... Thoughts of a watch nerd... CxB is good...
Style: 1773
As known with most invicta watches, this looks more expensive than it is... Definitely an eye catcher, if worn properly this will certainly get you many compliments. Overall quality is good enough: Time keeping is decent, so if you are not crazy about totally sincronized watches, this piece will need some minor adjustments every week or so. It has japanese quartz movement, which is one of the most reliable manufacturers of quartz movement mechanics. Yet, this movement is what makes the second hand tic-tac across the dial, and some people dislike that. The bracelet can be scratched quite easily, same for the case which is made with the same materials. In one year of use at the time I write this it has a few hair-thin scratches. The crystal looks thick and I didn`t get any scratches so far, so apparently it has good scratch resistance and does not have anti-reflexive coating. Tachimeters buttons are easy to press and do not feel cheap. In that matter, the tachs are 1/10s second @12, seconds @6 and minutes @9 (see video below). Bezel turning is easy and the "clicks" don`t feel too cheap. It does have 120 exact clicks all the way around (as it is supposed to) The lumen are superior quality! all the hour markers and hands have strong lumen that glows intensely after being exposed to light. Lumen color is green btw. It claims to have 200m water resistance, but since this is NOT a screw-down crown, I highly doubt it. I eventually had it exposed to moderate rain and I had no problems with it. swimming and diving I would personally not endorse. Finally, it is more than acceptable for it`s price, CxB is good and I do recommend this watch. ... show more

  • Sharp looking and accurate timepiece!
Style: 1771
This watch is definitely a looker. I've had numerous folks compliment it and some even ask if it's one of "the brand made in Switzerland." In addition to its outer looks the mechanism itself is tops. It has a screw-down crown AND the stopwatch buttons, too, are screw-down. I set (hacked) the watch to both my iPhone and an atomic wall clock. This watch runs an average of minus-8 seconds over a week's period which, in my book, is not bad at all. The bracelet is solid; it was slightly large for me so I took out a single link and the fit is perfect. I miss not having a date feature on the face but I knew that when I bought it. Summary? A really nice looking watch that functions very well. For the money you cannot do better. ... show more
