I was afraid the fig cover would be out of stock when the scribe is released so I decided to go ahead and order it while I wait for the fig scribe. It was delivered today. I have to say I really like the leather. Love the color and the texture of it. I can tell it's real leather compared to the vegan leather cover I have for my 2024 scribe. I compared both covers and the fig is the exact same thickness as the older version, but the fig cover is stiffer. If you try to bend the fake leather cover it gives easily, while there is no give when you try to bend the fig cover, which to me means better protection. It is so sturdy it feels like a piece of steel in there. Yes it is very thin, but thicker is not always better. Cardboard is thick but you wouldn't get much protection from that, and I don't believe the thick hard plastic that third party cases are made of will offer as much protection and would be too bulky. Plus I have heard some graphite scribe owners say that the magnets in some third party cases interfere with the writing of the pen. The magnets on the fig cover seem to be stronger as well. I placed my kindle on both and had a much harder time removing it from the fig cover. While it is thin, it is very well constructed. I actually like how thin it is because it will not add bulk to the kindle. I believe that's why they made it so thin, so as not to add bulk or weight. I will feel much safer with my kindle in this cover than a third party cover so I'm actually glad I got it. Yes, the price is steep, but in my opinion the fig scribe won't be complete without it. Why pay so much for the fig scribe only to hide it with a cheap third party case that doesn't even match the beautiful fig color? If you're just going to cover it up, you might as well go ahead and buy the graphite scribe instead of waiting for the fig. So in the end, I have to say I am glad that I splurged on the official fig cover. Now I just need Amazon to release the fig scribe already!!!

Picked this up for my Scribe Colorsoft. The leather feels soft, and it honestly gives off more of a luxury vibe than a typical cover. It feels closer to something you’d expect from a leather brand than a regular Amazon cover, which was a pleasant surprise. I went with the brown color and really like - looks clean and classy without being boring. The magnetic attach to the device is surprisingly strong. I was a little worried it might feel loose, but the Scribe snaps right in and doesn’t shift around at all!! I also like the pen strap more than I thought I would. It keeps the pen from rolling around in my bag, and I really like how it sits neatly on the back when you’re writing so it’s not intrusive at all. It's super convenient! Overall, it feels like it actually protects the device in addition to just looking good. It does add a bit of weight, but for me that’s a fair trade-off for the extra protection. Not totally sure how the leather will hold up long term, but brand new it feels and looks really good. Yeah, it’s kinda pricey, but you can tell where the money went. If you use your Scribe a lot and want a cover that feels “official” and well built, this one’s def worth it. No regrets so far.

When I purchased my Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, this was the best option for protecting it, since there weren't many choices. I have since gotten fond of it. Since the Scribe is strongly magnetically held, it does not need a bracket or a strap to retain it. This makes it one of the thinnest and lightest cases — just the Kindle and the front and back case covers. The Scribe edges and corners are protected since the front and back covers extend beyond the sides of the Scribe. I do wish it had extended more so that, should the Scribe drop, the cover edges would soften the shock more. The Scribe 2025 has a strong magnet on the right side to secure the stylus; there is also a strap held within the back cover that can be used by lifting it around the stylus to secure it to the top cover. I found that I seldom use the strap, since the stylus is well secured by the magnet. The ability to secure the stylus to the right side of the Scribe using the magnet gives this case the flexibility to accommodate thicker styluses that can be magnetically held. Some cases with a loop or slot within its bracket may not have this flexibility. I currently use a thicker stylus, which makes it easier for me to write. The case secures the alternative stylus, even though it is thicker. I enjoy using this case, though it is more expensive; it is thin, light, and more accommodating than others I have tried previously with my Kindle Scribe 2024.

This is very thin, feels high quality and increases the scribes realestate in your bag minimally. It really doesn't increase the Scribes profile much. The magnetic attachment of scribe to case has been solid for me and I really lime it. Open the cover and the scribe turns on with no issues. If you are going to use your scribe for reading in addition to writing; the pen will get in the way and you will knock it off constantly if you don't remove it and set it aside before hand. That unfortunately means having to keep track if it. The only issue I really have with this case is that this case does not secure the pen when in the open position by any means other that the Scribe itself. And lets be honest, this case is pricey, for not having a more secure pen feature. I bought it as it was pretty much the only option at the time of the Scribe colorsoft release, but now a couple months in, I'm shopping for another.

I have been a Kindle user from the first generation unit and, other than that device, have always bought the factory cases from Amazon. They just fit and function better than any aftermarket I have found. I wasn’t super impressed by the premium leather in the premium case for the first generation Scribe, so I wasn’t sure what to expect here. The good news is that this feels much more premium than the first gen case and really is nice. The leather has a nice grain and a supple softness that is awesome. Further, it matches the very cool fig color perfectly. There is a handy magnetic strap that keeps the pen and unit enclosed and protected. The liner is soft and will keep your Scribe scratch free. It, of course automatically fires up when you open the cover. All good, really good actually. So, why only 4 stars? Well, it’s the price tag. $140 for a case is ALL of the money in my opinion. It really threw me because now you are paying almost $900 at list if you buy a 64gb Scribe and this case. That is really premium money. I still love the case but I don’t love the overall value proposition it offers. Going to recommend but I would think about exploring aftermarket options before you pull the trigger here.

After all the negative reviews I read as I was waiting for the delivery, I was ready to return the package unopened. But I decided to at least give it a try and was amazed at the quality. Yes, there was a chemically smell coming from the soft interior lining but it took only an overnight of airing out to go away. Yes, the Kindle logo is a bit big but the same size as on the splash screen. With the graphite color I got, the logo does not stand out. The leather outer layer is not soft to the touch leather, but stiff yet that stiffness makes for good protection for the device. Yes, the price probably should be lower, but the quality does make up for it. Lastly, this cover feels like the perfect complement to the Kindle. Like they were made for each other. So if the price doesn’t scare you away, you will be happy with this purchase.
