Decent sturdy piece of furniture, I had fun with it. I put 2 coats of polyurethane clear coat on it before putting it together. The wood is beautiful. I got knobs at Home Depot to swap out the wooden ones. Putting it together wasn’t difficult, but the instructions are no better than IKEA furniture. The drawer just below the middle support nearly didn’t go in due to spacing, but I kept at it until I finally got it to go. The drawers really aren’t that big. It’s a lingerie chest and it fits my bras but only if they stack on top of each other and don’t lay flat. ... show more

I am so glad that I found this. It is perfect for what I was looking for. The only issue was assembly. The drawers were hard to line up. A drawer would not fit in one spot but would fit in another spot. Once we got the drawers lined up it is perfect. I did change the knobs because I did not want wooden knobs. ... show more

The bottom frame came broken and various drawer backs had frays and peels. The worst part, so far, has been drawer assembly. The pilot holes are very small and the drawer bottoms are probably cut too wide, resulting in the composite wood bursting and cracking as I screw it together. So far 50% of my drawers have split composite. I’m sort of dreading the finished product. Will the drawer slides be level? Ugh ... show more

Assembling the cabinet itself was a joy. Smart design, perfect matchups, well sanded, attractive , and sturdy. But then I began putting together the drawers and they were the opposite of all the good points of the cabinet itself. All the right-hand drawer slides had been cut wrong, so that the kerf that holds the drawer bottom did not match up with the rest of the drawer pieces. Fortunately, I have a table saw so it was an easy fix to match them up. Without a table saw on hand, this would be returned to seller. The kerf on one of the drawer fronts did not match the new or old side kerfs, so I recut it as well. Look closely at the picture of the fully assembled cabinet. The bottom drawer front is 1/8th of an inch lower on the right side than the left and not centered right/left. Ragged edges on all the plywood drawer components and some abrasions into the wood. All easily fixed with the right tools, but such a mess that I think this must be a very rare set of mistakes because returns on units with such bad workmanship would likely bankrupt the company in short order. Fixed now and when stained I expect it will look great and function well, but Quality Control, People! ... show more

The packaging was superb and all parts and hardware was in the box. Clear instructions. Every screw hole lined up perfectly. I must say, VietNam, you done an outstanding job with this chest. This is the perfect size for a lingerie chest. Just enough to help out with storage, but not overwhelming. Simple lines, so it blends well with other styes. Takes stain well. Nice quality, too -- nice and sturdy.

For the price, the quality of this product is excellent. It is made of real wood (rubber wood) which is solid, plumb & square. The wood is also very well sanded and does not require additional sanding prior to staining / painting. Most notably, all the pre-drilled holes actually line up! Assembly is very simple and the directions are clear. Some reviews mention an odor - the item DOES smell a bit after unwrapping but the odor almost completely dissipated after about a week. I made some modifications by removing the drawer tracks for the bottom two drawers to leave room for towels. They were easy to remove and required only a screw driver and wood putty to achieve the look pictured. This piece accepts stain but not as readily as other furniture-grade lumber (red oak). To accomplish the look in the photo, I used two coats of dark walnut stain and one coat of satin poly. Also bought different pulls but used original hardware. Would highly recommend!!! ... show more
