This was the best money I think I've ever spent. I bought it for my 10 week old kitten who is now 22 weeks old. It's been such a delight seeing her jump, pounce, tackle and play with this toy. I chose to put it on a tv tray and screws right on the edge. So easy. Made really well that I'm surprised it could take so much usage. My cat can barely resist walking past it without jumping to tackle it even now. Sometimes I have to put it up because she doesn't know when to stop. Great to keep kittens or curious cats who like to play busy and expend some if that endless energy.

Battery life on it is so so it takes to triple A batteries and last at least a month on that it's kind of cheaply made and the noise is kind of loud my cat is more intrigued by the noise than it is by the actual toy which makes it hard for her to enjoy the toy because she's too worried about the noise that it makes if you find a good spot to secure it to it secures pretty well but it is very unstable if you bump into it or the cat plays with it a little too hard it will fall off the counter or wherever you have it but my cat is a little skittish so other cats might not have these problems all in all I do think it is a very good idea it just needs a little more work for it to be considered a great toy but for the price that it is it's definitely worth it

My cats can care less about this toy. I think if it swung the rope, rather than just pulling it up and down, my cats would love it. But the little motion this does just doesn't do it for my cats. I liked the idea of it though. And the toy itself works like it's supposed to. It's decent quality for the price. Just not a match I guess.

I purchased this for a gift for my kitties first birthday. Unfortunately, this toy did not capture his attention well. It was WAY to slow and continued to get stuck just on its own without him playing with it. It stopped working after a few weeks. I ended up throwing it away, A GIANT waste of money and a disappointment

I'm pretty sure the product I got had already been used. Some of the string was frayed and upon putting batteries in, it wouldn't start: the string was caught up on itself. This is the main problem with this product. If you use the feather attachment, it's so light that while retracting the string, it will get caught up on itself and get stuck so that it can't drop the toy again. It wouldn't be so bad if you could just pull it apart and fix the string, but you need to remove a total of 6 very small screws, and then most likely you will have to pull the motor off its housing so that you can untangle the string. Most likely the motherboard and plastic piece to press the on/off button will come off as you pull everything apart so you'll need to reseat everything before putting the main pieces back together. This thing has gotten stuck on itself every single time I've tried to turn it on. It usually happens when it goes to turn off and fully retract the toy. The next time you go to turn it on, it just won't drop. If I didn't have to deal with all the screws and motor, I probably wouldn't mind needing to 'reset' the toy, but it's kind of a pain to go through all that. I'd just rather have my 20 bucks back.

Awesome cat toy, great that you can place it where you want and the cats can play with it even when you aren’t there. I’ve only had it up for maybe a month or so now but so far so good. I clipped it on their cat tree so it hangs over and teases them with the feather. I think it starts on its own when the cats pull at it, automatic start and shut off.. but my cats don’t use it unless I press the start button, hopefully they’ll start playing with it even when it’s not moving to get it started but for now I press the button and walk away and they love it . It’s a good investment for your kitty…

I only gave this three stars because my cats love this toy.. but it's not great.. it could have been done so much better.. it shuts off and doesn't have any sort of restart other than a human physically pushing the button which renders it useless when I'm not home... unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this toy
