Got this to entertain my new kitten that I'm having to isolate in my bedroom and bathroom so my older cat can get used to the scent before they're introduced. This toy entertains the kitten who chases it like a madman and it goes everywhere in the 2 rooms so she is chasing it and getting good exercise. It has managed to extricate itself from getting stuck in corners and tight spots I was sure it would be stuck. My bathroom has thick chenille rugs and the toy goes from the bare floor to the rugs and off again with no problem. My bedroom carpet is low pile and the toy rolls on it just like it was bare floors. I have brought it out to the other rooms for my older cat to play with it and she likes it too, but isn't as wild in her play as the kitten. Lasts a long time between charges and it is easy to recharge. Love this. Seems very durable because it bangs into walls and furniture legs and just keeps on going. It started rolling slower after about 4 days of heavy use, so I took the clear plastic piece off the wheels and cleaned the cat hair off and back to full speed again. My cat's like the slower speeds better than the first really fast speed. I like that when I turn it off and then turn it on, it defaults to the last used speed.

My dog seemed to enjoy this toy just as much as my cat and even our toddler grandchildren love to chase it. It’s super zippy and moves wildly and even works in grass. It never gets stuck under things because it moves back and forth until it can get out and it’s super easy to clean human hair out that gets wrapped around where it spins and has a long battery life. But the reason I am writing this review is because I accidentally washed it in the laundry and IT STILL WORKS!! I had zero hope rice would fix it but I’m glad I gave it a go. So if you wanted to know if it’s durable…it is! (My only gripe is the “chirping” doesn’t sound like a bird or prey at all and it’s kind of annoying but it’s not a dealbreaker)

High quality and works really well! I didn’t think it was too fast on hardwood like some of the reviews said, and the chirps aren’t too loud to me— they’re cute. I expected it to collect dirt and dust, but I wish I would have realized my long hair would collect on the axle; I just vacuumed yesterday, but this thing finds its way into every crevice of my house. I guess I need to do a better job! I’d get a version that’s just a ball next time for that reason, but, overall, it’s a great cat toy!

Three ornery adult cats in my home!! We've had this toy for almost 4 months. Two like to watch it with curiosity. The Siamese who gets bored and demands attention -- the orneriest of the bunch -- well, THIS animated interactive moving ball entertains him more than any other toy. He jumps and chases and runs and leaps at it. He will snag the tail in his mouth and carry it to another location. He has been known to hide it! We have learned to pick it up and turn it off for a while every day because the ball will "play by itself" and waste the battery time. It is fun for us to watch our Sherlock playing his games with this ball!! While he plays with it, he also entertains his furry housemates. The petite black female cat, the huge male Maine Coon and the male Newfoundland dog all watch his antics. Easy to charge. Fairly durable. For us, being able to easily clean off the long fur from the axis is essential. The manner in which it starts and stops and rolls is the key to keeping Sherlock's attention. Worth the price! Still working like new after 4 months.

Great toy, my 5 month old kitten loves it. Battery life is pretty long, and the robust tire tread means it's fine on all kinds of terrain in the house, from hardwood to tile to carpet. It can be pretty loud between its own noises and the bumping into walls and doors, but when I need it to be a little quieter I just "trap" it with pillows on the sofa like a play pen and my cat is still plenty entertained playing with it in a smaller space. And the ball still does great rolling around on the sofa cushions. I also like that it will shut off and come on only every hour for a few minutes. On days when I have to be out all day, it means she gets some stimulation periodically without burning out on it. Very happy with this toy.

The ball is great for our cat. The three modes work as described, and I would add that the first two modes, fast and slow, are still a bit more intended for bigger spaces than small ones, since the ball rolls a longer distance than the yellow mode. Aside from rolling, there is a noise the ball emits to calls the cat's attention, and also, before starting to move, it shakes a bit, so the cat enters in engage mode.

With two active year and a half old cats, this is one of the best toys I've found to keep them occupied. They come running if they see it in my hand. Easy to charge, which lasts a long time, on and off and speed controls are easy to use, and its lights help track it down when cats quit playing. Comes with an extra tail. So satisfied I bought a blue one.

I purchased this for my seven month old kitten who is very active. I was looking for a self entertaining toy that would keep her busy for a little while and wouldn’t require my constant attention on her while she was playing with it. It’s absolutely fun to watch both her and my dogs chasing it around! Battery life is good. It’s easy to operate! I can’t believe it makes little sounds also! Which my kitten talks back to. The tail which is a rope is screwed in and occasionally it does unscrew as she’s bat at it and everything, but she still plays with the ball without the rope tail. I like that it’s not something that I have to worry about her eating, which is a major issue right now! It’s fun. It’s entertaining. It’s easy to use the kitten and dogs love it too! It runs a little slower on carpets, but still works enough that she plays with it. It is a little loud on my tile floors, and when it bumps into things because it can move, let me tell you! But that’s not enough to make me give any negative review on it! And I was kind of was hesitant to buy one of these type of toys because I bought one in the past and it really didn’t work! But all I can say is 10 stars people just buy it!
