It's a great CPU, I haven't had any major issues with it besides the CPU getting a bit hot even on idle. Out of nowhere, the CPU hits the 45 - 50C degrees mark on idle which is quite normal for a laptop, but not so much for a mid-tower build using a 240mm AIO. I've wiped my entire PC 3 times, I've also applied a reset to the BIOS configuration and I've also updated the BIOS and nothing seems to resolve this issue other than applying a slight undervolt. After undervolting the CPU, I've managed to get normal mid-tower temperatures across all tasks (idle, gaming, web browsing, video, and photo editing) ... show more

That I5 Intel processor is in this computer. I have nothing against AMD. I used to use AMD a long time ago. At that time, AMD had a major heat issue. Intel has always been a good reliable processor manufacturer. I've been building computers since the end of the 1980's, and have only ran in to two dead processors. They do most or all of the programming in house. The I3 processors that are out now are just a few years ago the I7's. Intel just locked the frequency so you couldn't overclock them. It does what I need the system to do. I have a 914 ID-cooleron top of this processor and the combo seem to be ok. Yep, if I found the right price, would buy again, even slightly used.
