  • Intel Core i9-9900KF Beast!
The media could not be loaded. What more can someone say that's not already been stated. It's expensive, yes. But if one can fit this processor into their budget, the return on investment will NOT be disappointing. Installation was very easy, I decided to go with the stock thermal paste that was pre-installed on the AIO Corsair cooler. See specs below. I was able to assemble my new build which took about 3 hours. The wiring/cabling was NOT a breeze. PC Case was a bit tight but everything did install. Mainly I was overly cautious but Win10 installed in under 15 minutes to a desktop. Fast!! Temps have been very low, ranging from the low 30s to barely above 50 degrees Celsius even in gaming. I have read comments this proc can sometimes spike hot, but my experience is this build is easily the coolest running PC thus far. I am NOT overclocked as yet, have had the build running for about 2 weeks now. Going to wait on that so can't comment but I know this beast is built for overclock potential. My default clocks on all cores seems to peak at 4700Ghz and I am thus far happy with that for now. Esp. From where I am upgrading previous, a 5 year old mid-range gaming PC. I have had zero issues and definitely notice my FPS in games is up. The only game I am running now is Black Desert Online, most will likely not have heard of this, a 3 year old game that is brutal demanding on hardware with graphics settings maxed out. My old rig pushed 10 to maybe 32 FPS if lucky. Yes I am using a 4K 27 inch monitor. I do need a better graphics card for 4K, you will also if ever considering moving to 4K. It's NOT an easy move if you don't account for graphics power. I have had about 3 years of laggy stuttery gaming (frequently but not all the time) so if considering 4K gaming, do NOT go with low budget graphics builds. You WILL regret it. But my FPS jumped up to 40 to 60 fps. All new components except the Video card and monitor are from my old build. Multitasking is a breeze, everything noticeably responsive and opens quickly. This Proc won't dissapoint. If you can afford it. After my last build in 2014 where I skimped on the processor (core i5 4790K) due to limited funds, I decided to throw as much as I could into the heart of the system and I am very happy I did! • Made a noticeable difference
I previously had the i7 9700. I was surprised the difference in processing speed and boot times were noticeably so much faster.

  • Seems to be working fine
I purchased this Microprocessor to upgrade my slightly old computer, for which the motherboard only allows up to this processor generation. So far, so good. However, I must say that I was a little disappointed that I did not receive the product in its official retail box, but an OEM unbranded brown box. The processor so far has been working fine, and it's a genuine Intel chip. However, being that it didn't come packaged in its original Intel packaging, I have my doubts this is really a brand-new processor. As a plus I must say they also included a heat fan, which I didn't know I was going to receive (This is not mentioned on the description) but when I first open the box I was afraid for a minute that I had received the wrong product, because what first jumps to your eye is the fan!, the processor was attached to a small compartment on the side. I could have missed it! I didn't need this fan anyway because I have a Corsair liquid CPU Cooler for the processor, but it's appreciated they included a fan. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase. If something changes, I will update this review. ... show more

  • Best 9th Gen Available
I upgraded a 9th gen system from an i5 to this i9, which has more true cores and hyperthreading, all at the same TDW. It was painless, and I noticed the improvement immediately when I was opening all my apps at the same time. They opened faster and the system remained more responsive throughout. Having 16 hyperthreads on 8 cores is a very noticeable improvement over just 6 in my old i5. ... show more

  • Get Liquid Cooling
Short and simple...I got what I ordered. It's a great processor. I don't know why so many fake reviews with the same bad photo. In any case, this is a really nice 8 core hyperthread processor. The price was a little high for me at the time considering some new tech is cheaper, however it was an easy upgrade decision. I9-9900kf is nothing to sneeze at. Install went nice and easy. The only thing I strongly recommend is that you get liquid cooling. The copper core fan is adequate at the stock 3.6ghz. However, using intel speed boost technology it will reach speeds of 4.7 to 5ghz. It goes super fast, but gets really hot, really fast and will throttle back a lot. . I bought the icue H150 liquid cooling system and it took care of that issue. I ran cpu stress test on full load and my temps stay in celcius range of mid 60's no throttling. I have included 4 pictures for verification of the product and the liquid cooling aparatus used to keep this processor safe. ... show more

  • Possible regret.
I bought the wrong product but overall it's not any different. I think it's already too late to return as I already put in the thermal paste and such. If I could ask for a replacement which I doubt I can I would do so. I'm not sure if the i9K would make difference of not loading the BIOS screen for me on boot or if it's just a motherboard issue for mine. Anyways mistakes are made I didn't notice the KF in the buy and it's probably my fault. Processor though works great. 1% CPU usage with all my Google chrome stuff ... show more
