Keeping dog warm in December. I added a warming pad. The only problem is the roof is held down with velcro, so my dog decided that made a good exit and knocked the whole roof off. I now have it secured with ratchet straps until I figure out a better way to secure it.

Okay, listen. I bought this dog house fully expecting my pets to ignore it and sleep in a cardboard box like the tiny chaotic gremlins they are. Instead? They moved in like I’d just handed them the keys to a luxury condo. First off, this thing is sturdy. I mean shockingly sturdy. The base is real wood—not that flimsy, mystery-material nonsense other brands use that smells like a chemical plant had a baby with a tire factory. Nope. This one is solid, no stink, and the roof beams actually hold weight. (Ask me how I know… my cat sat on top of it like Simba claiming Pride Rock.) The raised legs are a blessing because apparently my pets require “airflow” now, like tiny, furry Victorian children with delicate constitutions. And honestly? They’re right. It keeps everything dry and comfortable, unlike the swampy little sweat lodges their beds used to turn into. The removable mat is ridiculously soft—I wish MY mattress was this comfy—and the washable cover has already survived: ✔️ Muddy paws ✔️ Tuna juice (thanks, cat) ✔️ One “mystery stain” we will not speak of again The windproof curtain is basically a tiny insulated doorway, which somehow makes my living room look like I have a small woodland creature renting studio space. It keeps the cold out and my pets inside plotting their next coup in comfort. As for sizing—my cats and small dog fit perfectly in the medium. They all pretend they hate each other, yet somehow all end up inside at the same time like a furry clown car. Bottom line: If your pets deserve a cozy, insulated, ridiculously adorable tiny home, get this. If your pets don’t deserve it but you’re a pushover (like me), still get this. 10/10. My pets now believe they are royalty, and honestly? I might be okay with that.

This is pretty heavy duty! I bought this for the stray cats I take care of. There are 4 two month old kittens and a mama and two other cats. They all fit in there! I of course have two insulated houses with straw but they prefer this one. I only took a star off because the roof is kind of flimsy but it works great

I set this up for my adult house cat, who usually prefers cardboard boxes over anything fancy. To my surprise, she walked into this one almost immediately. The structure feels solid, with a wood base that doesn’t sag and plastic wall panels that stay upright once everything is in place. The elevated feet lift the house slightly off the floor, which seemed to help with airflow and kept the inside from feeling damp. The plush mat inside is very soft, and the removable cover made it easy to clean after the first round of cat hair. My cat seems to like curling up in the back corner of the bed, especially when I put the windproof curtain down. It definitely holds warmth better than the open-style beds I’ve tried before. Assembly was simple and took just a few minutes. Everything clicked together without needing tools, and the roof felt secure once attached. The house looks nice enough to keep in the living room without standing out too much. For size, my cat is around the medium range suggested in the listing, and she fits comfortably with room to stretch but not so much space that it feels empty. I’d say the medium size is appropriate for a standard adult house cat. Overall, this pet house gave my cat a warm, quiet space away from the main foot traffic in the house. It performed as described and has held up well so far.

1 Star, because of the price. Nice house, but absolutely not worth $100, max price should not go past $40. House is nice looking and cute, but material is cheap and doesn't hold up in outside weather.
