I was working with a 14" X 17" garage door windows so applying was not too difficult. On a larger window two-person job unless you are experienced. The look from the outside is fine for my purpose but on a larger window it would probably not be the quality one would want. I do not have any air bubbles, but it looks very wavey. This is a unique use for this product, but I am a preschool/PreK teacher and as a part of our program, I have plants that we take care of at the school throughout the year. Problem is, come summer I meed to bring the plants home since we aren’t in session in the summer. The plants at my school thrive on low light from east exposure, but I only have west light exposure windows at home. So every year the plants come back to my house, they start to react to the light changes because there is a HUGE difference between the light they thrive on and the strong west exposure. I was skimming through pages on Amazon one day and found this, and wondered if this could help me with my problem, because replacing plants each year can get expensive, plus of course, I didn’t want to kill them! Plus I wanted a low-cost solution. Problem solved! I found this really easy to install film and applied it directly to the top half of the windows where my plants are, and am happy to report, they are doing great! My prayer plant is actually even blooming now, with adorable little purple flowers. We also found yet another added benefit, surprise! The dining room feels much cooler in the afternoon, now that the sun isn’t streaming in so intensely, meaning that we are using that space more often now, since it’s not so hot in that room anymore! So the product comes in a roll, with accompanying directions. The directions are really easy to follow. You do want to follow them to get the best results. I did one window with following the directions and it was perfect. The 2nd window I was cutting corners a tiny bit, and the results were less impressive, getting a few more air bubbles, totally user error. You definitely want to take your time when applying it. I was able to redo it correctly following the proper directions later, using the same piece of film and it was forgiving LOL! Being a teacher and always using contact paper (we laminate everything!) I found this super easy to apply and use. It is not contact paper by any means, as it is an extremely durable film translucent film that has a an almost mirrored finish on the side that faces out the window, and an almost grey shading on the side that faces inward to the house. The material is extremely durable, and I really liked the look of it, and plus my plants are now not dying! I was concerned that once I put it on, I couldn’t remove it, and I am happy to say you can readjust it if you need to. It has no adhesives or residues which made me happy, in case I wanted to remove it later down the line, which makes it a very user friendly product. I was concerned with the hot summer sun beating down on them the film might shrink or peel, but I am also happy to say that this has not happened either! The film still looks great! I also love how I can look out the window and still see outside clearly, your view is not distorted in any way. I feel like that the A/C doesn’t go on as much in the afternoon too, since that room is now cooler. I definitely recommend measuring and not guesstimating on the size you need. This product is pretty amazing, and I am really happy I tried it! I definitely recommend this for any area that has very direct sun. Hope you get the same amazing results too! ... show more

I have a security camera in a window facing an alley, and there is a business on the other side of the alley. The camera doesn't face them, but I was weary of them possibly becoming suspicious and thinking I was recording them, since the camera itself is visible to them. I had intended to use this to cover my window entirely. But, it is far darker looking thru than I expected. Not a negative, hence still rating 5 stars, but something to be aware of. During the day it made things much harder to see but still visible, and at night it makes things almost impossible to see. All this meant for my uses was that I had to only apply it to the window to block view to and from the business, since my camera can't see them anyways it doesn't matter. But do keep in mind this inhibits viewing outside-in very well, and inside-out is blocked possibly more than you expect. ... show more

When I opened the wrapper I was skeptical because it just looked like dark tinted film, but it works! When exposed to bright light from the outside, the dark film gains a non-transparent light color look Like all 1 way films, it will become less effective at night, however the tint will still help provide some obfuscation The film is easy to cut, and the static cling is effective for installation. ... show more
