This product exceeded my expectations. Originally I had purchased similar item from Home Depot and paid $32 for one roll that would only cover 2 of my 8 windows. It was also in a roll shaped such that it would be difficult and clumsy to cut to fit with lots of waste. This product not only covered 4 windows per roll, each roll was less than 1/3 of the others price. These rolls made it very easy to cut to fit with minimal waste.     • Works well & holds up well when properly put on.

Works perfectly well to provide privacy on our front door windows. Installation is easy enough, 4/5 (read below), and adhesion is 100% effective IF installed correctly. You absolutely have to clean the surface properly per the instructions, and then once you’re ready to actually put them up, the surface you’re placing them on must be completely sopping wet as you are placing them even though the instructions don’t explicitly stress how much water you truly need. If you’re spraying water onto the surface and the water is dripping down in streams or beads, you still don’t have enough water- You need to essentially create a pool of water on the surface. When you put them on, there should be so much water underneath them that they’re kind of sliding around easily across the surface. From there you’ll slide it into it’s exact place and then use a squeegee/credit card/etc to actually seal it to the surface and remove air bubbles. If you have a clean enough surface, spray enough water onto the surface, and fully seal it with a squeegee-like item, you shouldn’t have issues (I wrapped a sunglasses cloth around a credit card and used that as my squeegee- it slid more smoothly this way).     • Effective for heat but takes some practice to get right

Overall, I'm happy with how this turned out. I bought two large rolls to cover a sliding glass door in my office that gets sun all day. With the summers getting hotter and electricity getting more expensive, this seemed like a good short term fix until i can save enough to replace the window. The rolls of film arrived with the correct dimensions, which was fantastic because I only had an inch allowance on each side. I don't have any data to support this, but I have noticed a considerable difference in temperature in the room where it was installed. I work in the room for 9-10 hours a day, so I'm a pretty decent judge of how hot it gets. I can now leave my house AC at 79 and work comfortably in this room with a small desk fan even when it's 100 out and sunny. I was installing it by myself on a large window, which was very difficult to maneuver. Thankfully, with PLENTY of water (like if you think you've put on enough water, you should probably double it) the film was very easy to slide around until I had gotten it to the right place. I think anyone with some home maintenance skills could install it, and it would certainly be helpful to have a second set of hands for any large windows. I have two complaints with the product: firstly, the sticker that had the installation instructions left adhesive on the film that I couldn't remove, so I have two little ugly patches in the corners of the windows. Secondly, the instructions said to use a hair dryer to fix any folds or warps. I tried this on a small warped area near the top, and it warped the film so badly that it created a bubble that I couldn't remove. It would have been nice if the kit included a squeegee and knife, but I was able to pick those up at a local hardware store without hassle. As clearly stated in the description, it reduces the heat from the window and gives you excellent daytime privacy if that is a concern. This is actually really good product. I was hesitant because I’m picky and I don’t want something looking tacky on my windows. It gives you full privacy. It’s not hard to apply. It’s not very noticeable but it’s pretty expensive for the little amount you get.

I was looking for an attractive but simple, classic window film that would provide some privacy for the glass window panes in my front doors. This was perfect! The film is sturdy, goes on easily, and clings naturally to the glass without needing adhesive.
