This is a great film, and I tried a bunch because I’m crazy—but it’s super easy to install. It peels off easily and sticks to windows perfectly. It takes a good while to get all the bubbles out, but you can do it. Trust me. For the “rainbow” effect, it looks really cool, although it’s more aquamarine pink iridescent than rainbow, but I think that works out much better. AND it lets a good amount of light in. Privacy-wise, it's excellent—you can’t see anything from the outside. However, the “gold” is more like a bright, bright orange, especially in daylight. It can be a little jarring compared to the other options, but because you get so much light in with this much privacy, I think it’s worth it. ... show more

Bought this to put in the window that is in my bathroom since someone thought it was a great idea to build houses with windows in the showers. It was simple to install, bubbles came out with using a credit card to slide them right out. I've had it on for almost 2 years now, not coming off and still serving it's purpose as if it were just installed!! I used the extra for my garage windows, and they have stayed on through 2 cold winters and going on a second summer so far with no peeling off! They do great with blocking out light, if that's what you would want to use them for. ... show more

My office window looks right out on to Main Street in a small town. This privacy film has been a fantastic addition and helps protect the privacy of my clients while still allowing ample light to come in for my plants. My only complaint is that it smells heavily of PVC. I've had it up for one week and it's only now starting to dissipate with the use of my Dyson air purifier and time. The first day it was up, I had the worst headache working in there while the sun came in through the window and heated it up. But now that the smell is leaving, I'm really happy with it. I did feel like doing the whole window was too much, so I left a small section at the top to make it still feel like a window. It was easy to install, just make sure you have a sharp razor blade to trim the edges once its in the window. ... show more

This Coavas window film looks great and DEFINITELY cuts down the heat from the sun--and holds in the heat when it's cold outside. I love that you still feel you can see some of the outdoors, you get a good amount of light in the room, but you're not living in a fishbowl for the neighbors. I can walk around in my undies and not frighten the neighbors. With window films, thickness or thinness is a big deal. This one hits the sweet spot: It isn't so thin that it keeps folding back on itself and sticking while you're working with it, and it isn't so thick that it looks like plastic junk on your window or smells like toxic vinyl when it heats up in the sun. It also separates more easily from the backing compared to others. I found this Coavas window film super-easy to hang, compared with all the others I've used. MY HANGING METHOD (same as everyone's until step 5): I have those pricey vinyl windows and don't want a razor knife near them for trimming... (1) Squirt water all over the clean window, (2) Place a guesstimated-sized piece of window file against the window, and (3) Smooth out most of the air bubbles with the rubber side of a plastic wallpaper smoother. Then (4) Slide the plastic edge of the smoother along each outside edge of the window at the same time you (5) Slide a ballpoint pen between the edge of the smoother and the edge of the window. You wind up with penlines on all four sides of the glass. They don't quite make it to the corners, because the smoother doesn't quite make it there. Then, (6) Lift each side of the window film away from the glass and cut CAREFULLY along the lines with good scissors (7) Spray more water and reapply the film, and move to the next side. (8) Literally pat yourself on the back to celebrate what a good job you did! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This privacy film does its job so well. Easy to install all you need is a exact-o knife or a scissor, a measuring stick or a big ruler, a spray bottle with water and a lot of patience. I DIY most of the everything in the house so for me it’s easy but if your not just have someone else do it for you. But overall i highly recommend this window privacy film to anyone looking to add some privacy to any window in your home.. ... show more

This isn’t incandescent. It’s just blue. And it gets weird smudge lines where you used the squeegee. They are a really gross orange color from the outside that make it look like a smoker lives in your home. Easily tear. Installation is a pain. Doesn’t do anything for heat blocking, and only really blocks your ability to see outside. One roll is not enough to cover any window. The measurements they provide are odd and will make it a game of Tetris to cover your window, which looks sloppy. Not worth the price, as you’ll spend probably over $50 if you want to cover a whole window. ... show more
