I bought the Insta360 Go 3 (64GB) and have been using it a lot! Seriously, I take this camera with me everywhere! I want you to know that I had the Insta360 Go 2 and I also own a GoPro 11. To say the Go 3 is an improvement over the Go 2 is an understatement, and I would no longer recommend buying the Go 2 now the Go 3 is available! It really is that much better! First of all the form factor of the camera is a huge plus and it’s this form factor that makes the Go 3 so handy! If you’re looking to create FPV shots for your socials, there is no better option. The magnetic medallion and the newly included wedge, ensure the camera can record whatever you/your arms are doing! The same with the Easy clip/hat mount; it allows you to just record without worrying about holding the camera. For those of you looking to record interacting with your family, this is a game changer! The new Action Pod is the main thing that makes the Go 3 a well-rounded camera! Ok, first of all, the Go 3 itself (the tiny camera part) has an increased battery life of 45 minutes! When the Go 3 is in the Action Pod the camera will last for 170 minutes (it is rechargeable via USB-C). This is plenty of time for all of the things I would use this camera for! I typically run marathons and record footage while I’m running. I have never recorded enough footage during a marathon to fill my Go 3’s 64GB capacity or run through 170 minutes of battery. The Action Pod has a flip up screen, which allows you to properly position the camera when you’re vlogging! This is so much better than my GoPro’s tiny front screen and it makes it much easier to vlog on than the GoPro. In my testing the sound recorded by the Go 3 is very similar to the GoPro 11, so not studio quality sound, but good enough! The Action Pod also allows me to view what the Go 3 is seeing even when the Go 3 is not inside the Action Pod. This is perfect for setting up a shot when the Go 3 is positioned somewhere else (hat, medallion, etc.). Just a quick note on stability: it is not something you ever need to worry about. The FlowState stabilization is epic and all your shots will come out smooth! The Voice Control in the Go 3 is version 2 and works better than in the Go 2, however outside of trying it out it isn’t something I really use! Some people have said that the maximum resolution of 2.7k at 30fps is not enough. Perhaps this is true for some, but I have not found any shortcomings in the quality of the video the Go 3 produces. Remember, this is a conveniently sized action camera; use it in well-lit areas and the footage will be excellent every time! Slow motion is limited to 1080p at 120fps. This is an area I would like to see improvement, but again, when I film slo-mo in a well-lit area the footage is superb! The Go 3 is waterproof up to 5 meters, but please be aware the Action Pod is not. DO NOT go swimming with the Go 3 in the Action Pod! Just take the Go 3 itself when you go for a dip! The Action Pod is splash proof so if you’re caught in the rain you will be fine, but just don’t submerge it. All in all, this is an excellent action camera and definitely has the most useful form factor available at the moment.

June 27, 2023 Upon opening the package, I was immediately struck by the product's elegant presentation, reminiscent of the unveiling of an Apple iPhone. The stylish design and inclusion of essential accessories for first-time users were commendable. Having previous experience with both the Brave Action Camera and GoPro, I found this product to be a significant advancement in terms of quality and user-friendliness. Notably, the pendant, featuring a built-in magnet, stands out as the most impressive component of the entire package. Allow me to outline the positive aspects of the product: Versatile Magnet Functionality: The ability of the camera to stick to any metal surface using magnets is a clever feature. Put it around your friends/partners/children and let them video record with no interation. Secure Head Clip: The lightweight nature of the camera ensures that the head clip works seamlessly, without causing discomfort or weighing down the attached hat, unlike the GoPro or Brave Camera. User-Friendly Footage Management: Downloading and previewing camera footage is remarkably hassle-free. The app's swift download speed and easy-to-use editing capabilities make it one of the most user-friendly experiences I have encountered with action cameras. Engaging Themes and Tutorials: The incorporation of themes and music options, along with informative tutorials, adds a delightful touch to the overall user experience. However, it is important to address a few areas for improvement: Pendant Wedge Strength: The wedge utilized to adjust the pendant's angle lacks sufficient strength, making it unsuitable for activities requiring significant movement. Drop strength: I have been unable to find how far up you can drop this from or how much impact it can withstand. I would not recommend extreme activities without researching further. Preview Interruptions via Bluetooth: It is worth noting that the preview and camera functionalities rely on Bluetooth connectivity. If the camera is carried away from the connected device, the preview ceases due to the loss of connection. To ensure uninterrupted previewing, it is advisable to keep the main body of the camera within easy reach, such as in a pocket. Low Battery Level at Delivery: Upon receiving the camera, I noticed that its battery level was low. After downloading the required app on my iPhone, I successfully established a connection. However, I encountered a slight inconvenience as the camera required a firmware upgrade. As the battery level was too low initially, I had to wait until it reached 25% before proceeding. This process took approximately five minutes. In light of the aforementioned points, I would like to recommend the following: It is highly advisable to change the Wi-Fi password for the camera within the app's settings. By default, the camera may utilize a generic password or have an open Wi-Fi connection, potentially compromising the privacy and security of stored photos and videos. Taking this precautionary step will ensure that unauthorized access or usage of the camera is prevented. This ca era replaced by budget action camera for car reviews. The camera I had was a gopro styled action camera and it was difficult to get good first person shots. But with the go3, all I need is a headband, the hatclip and the camera. I'll use the action pod's screen to check that the camera is capturing my scene properly and record. The camera records very good audio as well. It records 24bit and does well to capture engine and road noise while in the cabin of a vehicle with the windows wound up. For capturing audio on a windy day, well I'd rely on another source. Unfortunately you can't record audi directly into the go3 but you can use a dedicated recorder or lav and sync the audio in post. The go3's flip screen comes in handy when you need to frame a shot with the camera pointed at yourself. The battery life of the camera and action pod are sufficient for my use but when using the camera for 1st POV, you'll have max 30 mins of run time. Then you'll have to place it in the action pod to recharge it. That's the only downside. The battery and the memory are non-removable but you can solve this with a power bank and transferring the files to your PC or smartphone. If you'd prefer swapping batteries and sd cards, this camera won't be for you. Since camera is so small you're able to capture very unit shots, so it makes it very functional. The image stabilization works very well, even on bumpy 4wd tracks. I do think the design works well, although I wish there was a way extend the standalone battery time for the camera only without ending the recording while using it as a 1st POV camera. It also captures shots in a mode called Freeframe which allows you to captures shots and reframe them in post. An example would be being able to change the shot to landscape or portrait mode after filming. This however uses more storage that shooting in standard mode. You can also shoot time-lapse, slomo at 120fps, take fairly good quality photos, loops hyperlapse and take videos with the star trail effect. It's highest resolution is 2.7k at 30fps in regular mode and 1440 at 50fps. In regular and freeframe mode you can record in different fields of view such as action, ultra, linear and narrow with freeframe giving you the ability to adjust in post via the insta360 app. The camera is waterproof however the action pod with the camera in it is only weather resistant. Two important things to note is that it's dynamic range isn't the best, so while capturing 1st pov and exiting a tunnel, the camera does take a while to adjust, maybe 2 seconds or so. And it's low light capability isn't the best when compared with the Ace pro for example. All in all I think this camera makes for a good 1st pov device as well as a good vlogging camera due to its flip screen and ability to adjust field of view in post in freeframe mode.

Review: I’ve really enjoyed recording with the Insta360 GO 3. The standout feature for me is the magnetic pendant that you wear around your neck, which allows the camera to attach securely to the center of your chest. The magnet is impressively strong, keeping the camera in place even while riding extreme thrill rides — I’ve captured some amazing footage thanks to this design. Battery life and storage capacity are both solid, giving me plenty of time and space to record without worrying about interruptions. Transferring videos to my iPhone or iPad through the app is quick and easy, which makes editing and sharing much more convenient. Pros: • Magnetic pendant keeps camera secure, even on thrill rides • Compact and lightweight design for hands-free recording • Good battery life and ample storage capacity • Easy video transfer via the app to iPhone/iPad Cons: • None significant so far, though the pendant instructions could be clearer for first-time users Bottom line: The Insta360 GO 3 is a fantastic mini action camera for creators and vloggers. Never worked, it never charged. Support is asking for money to repair a product that never worked form the start. I have tried to reach them for years and could not get a hold of them. I finally was able to file a ticket to send the Insta360 camera back and now they want money to repair their own product that I never used. What a frustrating waste of money!

Where to begin... This thing is so unbelievably cool! I've never used a camera that has this amount of diverse features, especially in such a small form factor. To make it easy for anyone looking at this product, I made a list of the top 5 reasons that got me totally hooked on GO 3! 1. Wireless live monitoring: You can literally remove the camera from the case and the camera sends a wireless image to the case so you can see what you're shooting when you have it mounted in various places. Coming from a traditional filmmaking background, I just have to say that's amazing. We spent thousands of dollars on wireless gear for DSLRs. 2. THE ACCESSORIES, my gosh. GO 3 comes with a variety of accessories that essentially lets you mount it anywhere. I'm already thinking about all of the creative ways I can mount it. On top of that, they are magnetic AND hard mounted at the same time! It just feels so comforting snapping the camera onto the accessories. Well done Insta360. 3. Interchangeability - I can use the same accessories to mount just GO 3 or the entire case. This has already come in super handy. I mounted GO 3 to the outside of my car on a long drive. When it ran out of battery, I stopped the car, mounted the case 4. Ease of use. I love the AI auto editing. I normally really don't like editing but their app makes it super easy. 5. Stabilization. It feels like gimbal quality which is mind blowing for a camera so small. Again, well done Insta360! I've only been using it for about a week and I'll make sure to update this review once I use it more over a few months.

I think this camera is OK, but in my opinion no where near as good as my DJI Pocket 2. Battery life is not that great, NO SDCARD support so you need to plug it into your computer or transfer to a phone. Also you have to use their software to edit pictures and export before using your editing software. The absolute best thing about it is the small size. This is great and you can wear it and people hardly notice it. I plan on using this as a second camera for behind the scenes shots. SLO MO is only in portrait mode as far as I can tell??? Not sure why that limitation exists. This might be a great camera depending on your needs, but for me the battery dies way too soon and it overheats which is a major issue.
