  • Choosing a Gaming Machine for my Grandson
Style: 8700F/RTX 5060 Ti 8GB
Why did you pick this product vs others?: So, my grandson showed an intense interest in severe weather phenomena and in how that happens. In particular, he was fascinated with how Tornados occur and with a couple of “storm-chaser” computer games that simulate how you determine where they will form and enable you to chase them and gather data to help you understand that. He had already found two games, “Tornados: Research and Rescue” and “Outbrk,” that he wanted for that. Being an engineer, I was excited about my grandson’s interest in this and wanted to help him pursue it. His parents, however, had Apple computers and both games he had chosen would only run under Microsoft Windows. My first thought was to upgrade an old Dell Vostro I had and give it to him to run these games, but I quickly determined that was NOT a viable path. It was clear that both games he wanted needed a modern, powerful graphics card, a significantly faster CPU, much more RAM, and a much faster hard drive than my old Dell could be modified to provide. Further research led me to the CyberPowerPC Gamer Master series for what I needed. I was impressed with the reviews I found for these machines, and independent reviews for the component used in them. The quality of the overall machine and the components used was primary in my decision, as I wanted to find something I was confident would work for my grandson now and through Middle and High School. I also thought my grandson would love the lighting that is characteristic of these machines and the fact that he could see all the components through the case (which turned out to be correct). I initially tried a CyberPowerPC with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 3.6GHz 6-Core CPU, AMD B550 Chipset with 16GB DRR4 RAM, 500 GB 500GB PCIe Gen4 SSD, and Radeon RX6400 4GB Graphics card. This looked to be a very capable machine at a very attractive price. However, it barely met the minimum specs for the Outbrk, the most stressing game my grandson wanted. After receiving it and setting it up, I found that it would indeed run both games, but it was like watching snails play leapfrog—a totally frustrating experience. I knew my grandson would only be disappointed and I had to get something more powerful. Fortunately, CyberPowerPC has a generous return policy, and I was able to return that machine and order a more powerful system with an AMD Ryzen 7 8700F 4.1GHz, 8-Core CPU, AMD B850 Chipset, 16GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM, 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, and GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB Graphic card. This machine exceeds the recommended specs for Outbrk and both games run beautifully on it. It also delivers, I believe, everything else I was looking for. I love the beautiful, rugged metal and plexiglass case that is used for this machine, and that it has massive cooling capacity that is whisper quiet. The high-quality of the design and construction is clearly evident and impressive. I am very happy with it—and so is my grandson. ... show more

  • Great bang for your buck!!
Style: 13400F/RTX 5060 8GB
Top Quality for a great price, it's better than I expected, I was pleasantly surprised to find that you can still find a great product for a very reasonable price this day and age, we'll see what the tariffs do, so I would get in there now and try and get one before they have no choice but to up the prices. The build was not sloppy or crammed, there is plenty of space for additions and future proofing. It looks great, is super quiet, runs smooth and fast. It's powerful enough to run almost anything including AI locally , but I would get another 16GB of RAM, because the 8GB of VRAM is going to struggle, even with quantisized models. All around great job. Thanks CyberPowerPC ... show more

  • Great gaming pc

Son just loves it. Simple to hook up and came almost fully ready to use. Runs so much better than the Alienware laptop and not too bad of a price.

  • Blown away!
Style: 14900KF/RTX 5070 12GB
I received this yesterday and so far I am really happy. Took about 30 minutes to set up. I have several audio interfaces I use. Eleven Rack Nux MG-300 MKii and a Zoom UAC-8. It took some tinkering but I was able to get them all connected. I was really worried about the Eleven Rack because the final driver was for Windows 10. But it’s working like a champ. I had to play around with MSFS 2020 to get the DLSS 4 working correctly on the RTX 5070 but that was the software and with an Oculus Quest 2 VR headset it blew me away. Clear cockpit instruments, no lag, no issues when turning my head. So immersive. For me this is a no brainer given the price. ... show more

Good computer. Runs things well and is a nice mid range pc for the price. Would recommend for people, just make sure it fits what you're looking for. The RBG looks good and doesn't take away from performance. Nice Wifi antenna and the over speed of the computer is high quality.

  • Item was faulty, and despite a couple of attempts to resolve it was eventually returned as doa.
Style: 8700F/RTX 5060 Ti 8GB
One star is generous, but you can't leave no stars. This machine was doable, well kind of, I managed to resuscitate it twice, but then it left us. From the first power of it had a dram error light on the motherboard. It loaded ok, but half way through set up the screen went black and machine would not respond. After a restart the OS had corrupted and so I had to use another laptop to create a recovery disk, which ro my surprise ran and got through initial set up, before the screen went black again, after which, I was unable to ever get it to even post. Turning it on resulted in the dram light showing up, and the ram leds lighting up, but no other led activity and no output to the screen. I then googled cyberpower and dram motherboard light, and to Noone surprise there are many, many, reports on reddit and other forums of exactly the same issue happening. My son also told me it was not uncommon for them to ship devices with dead or entirely missing guys. Why Amazon continues to carry this brand i do not know, but it an absolute sham. I did try contacting support, but you know it was the weekend and nobody answered, so I have returned the product. Also.important to note, the pc was upside down in the box, the foam it was packaged in had holes for the handles, these were at the bottom of the box and not aligned with the holes in the box to carry it. This company has serious QA issues, and they will not see another dime of my or my families money. ... show more

So far so good. Set up was pretty easy and straight-forward. The prebuilt looks gorgeous and has been running silent! This is my first gaming pc and i couldn't be happier with the build quality, smoothness and functionality. I cant wait to really test this bad girl out.

Great computer with amazing specs. ram on it could have been a bit more but can be easily added. Ready to go out of the box with not much trouble. would give 5 stars but still need to stress test the cpu and motherboard along with the graphics card. would gladly recommend to anyone wanting a new pc for a good price. ... show more
