There are so many things to like about this Insoon Garden House Building Set. The finished house is a vibrant Victorian esque design sitting on a colorful blooming garden with a pond. A cute little pedestrian bridge is included in the set to cross the pond. The perfect place to have minifigures fish from. Unfortunately, no minifigures are included in this set, but if you are a building brick fan, you probably have a few that you can populate this set with. This set comes with numbered bags of pieces that correspond to the included instructions books. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The pieces in this set are compatible with Lego, but they aren’t quite the same quality. They require a big of additional pressing to push the pieces together than Lego typically does. This may cause some sore fingers after putting together 2000+ pieces. But, this set is worth it. The final build is beautiful. It is full of cute accessories included in the build. Including lamps, chairs, pots, pets, etc. The accessories I like the most are the art print pieces, though, they are stickers. But, for this economical of a set you have to expect that. The mini art pieces in this set that have the art of Claude Monet printed on them. They are hanging on walls and mounted on easels throughout the build. The finished house is dollhouse style. Meaning that it has an open back to access the interior spaces. The different levels also separate to access the interior spaces as well. But, if you used the included light kit, the wires that connect the lights would keep you from being able to separate the levels very easily so the open back comes in handy. The light kit is a set of 2x4 brick lights connected by wires to a battery box with an on off switch. The instructions show how to install them if you want to add the lights to the build. This set goes well with my other Lego and Lumibricks sets and I’m happy to add it to my collection.

Let me start by saying that I'm probably not the target demographic for this kit. I was aware that it was a garden home with several pieces of artwork depicted in it when I ordered it, but I was looking more at the structure of the house than the colors of the walls. I'm an adult that has a moderately stressful job, and I find building rather complex models to be relaxing. It allows me to tune everything out and focus on the build instead of thinking about the stress that life can throw at me, and the kids enjoy helping. I also prefer builds on the spooky side, and I thought we could make this model into nice looking haunted house pretty easily. While I still hold that opinion, the colors of the pieces are much more pastel than I anticipated. My current plan is to scavenge the spare parts we have as well as a local store's pick-a-brick table to replace all the pastel colors with more earthy tones. That said, INSOON models have been some of my favorite builds. These kits are well made, have high-quality bricks, great designs, and the parts are all packaged so that you'll only have to open one bag at a time. Sorting through hundreds of bricks to find a single part is not an issue with these kits. This one is no exception. Getting the base and foundation together didn't take long at all. Assembly is much more fun when you're not spending the majority of your time searching for parts. With this kit containing over 2,000 pieces, this feature allows me to concentrate on appreciating the details of the build instead of searching in vain for a part. The instructions are clearly laid out and easy to follow. The bricks are high quality and fit together well. You won't have to use too much force to get them together and they have sufficient clutch strength to keep the model together. This kit also contains a lighting kit that will help bring life to your model and highlight the details of your build. Overall, I would highly recommend this kit to anyone. It's got great details even in the early stages of the build and is very fun to put together. I have reviewed a few other INSOON kits and they never fail to disappoint. I honestly think the Danish block brand would be able to take some lessons from them.

This set is branded INSOON, a brand I’ve built many times before. The bricks tend to have a bit of over-clutch, but usually go together well otherwise. The Insoon designs tend to skew towards whimsy (vs realism) and this set leans into something new - the celebration of Claude Monet’s impressionist works in the form of a garden cottage and grounds. The interior is filled with his artworks, either on easels or on the walls. The dollhouse-style back lets you access the house interior rooms, and the included light kit brings those areas to life. The light kit is a standard wired group of 1x4 LED plates that are powered by a 2x4 battery box (batteries included). The switch and battery box are conveniently located to access. The attic and 2nd floor levels are meant to detach, but the wiring from the light kit may impede that in reality. The garden and landscaping in front of the house are a standout part of the model, with bold colors used throughout. There are also a few animals that appear to be unique model designs. They included printed faces. The parts come in numbered bags and are compatible with Lego. There are 2 instruction books (due to the length of the build / quantity of parts); instructions have good printing and are paced easily enough that most builders should have no problem. Just take your time if you are new to wiring lights into a model (the books will guide you). At over 2000 pieces this a fantastic value to bring a very unique build into your city layout or shelf.

I really enjoyed putting this building set together. If you like detailed building projects, this one is definitely a fun and rewarding experience. The instructions were easy to follow, and I appreciated that the pieces were organized well enough to keep the build moving without too much frustration. There are so many beautiful little details throughout the house and garden, and the finished model looks absolutely stunning on display. The flowers, architecture, and included lights really make it stand out, especially once everything is lit up. My biggest issue is with the roof. Several of the roof pieces don't stay attached very securely and seem to pop off very easily. Even something as simple as picking up the model, moving it to another shelf, or accidentally brushing against it can cause pieces to fall off. I found myself reattaching the same sections multiple times throughout the build, which took away from an otherwise enjoyable experience. I wish those areas had been designed with a more secure connection because the rest of the set feels much sturdier. Despite that flaw, I still think this is a beautiful building kit and was happy with the finished result. It makes a gorgeous display piece and would be a great gift for anyone who enjoys building sets, miniature houses, or botanical-themed décor. If the roof pieces were a little more secure, this would easily be a five-star set.

No worries of it falling apart when you move it.The pieces fit together well, and there were none missing. The instructions were easy to follow. The included lights look great. I'm in love with this brand, as always. The pieces fit together well, the instructions are easy to follow, and the finished build is absolutely beautiful. The flower garden and bridge add so much charm, making it a perfect display piece. They aren't micro blocks, they're actual Lego sized pieces that re easy to work with. Great gift if you Lego without as hefty of a price tag.

I got this for my mom who loves the Lego botanical themed sets. This isn't Lego but is compatible and the bricks are about the same quality. She really enjoyed this build for the most part. The instructions were good and easy to follow. The main part of the house was great. No issues with that. It is really detailed everything fit perfectly. Then you get to the roof. The roof had some parts that fall off easily. Also the whole roof just sits on top it actually isn't attached to the house at all. Then you do the landscaping last and that has lots of small parts that can be hard to put together. Then there is a tree that we had to change how it connected because the design was not strong enough to support it. Over it is a fun build and looks nice.
