  • Perfect cheap TV
I'm really impressed with this TV, especially for the price point. The QLED display makes a huge difference compared to standard LED screens—the colors are much more vibrant and the 4K resolution is crisp and clear. Setting it up was a breeze, and the Fire TV interface is fast and easy to navigate. Having Alexa built into the remote is super convenient for finding shows or even controlling other smart devices in the room without having to get up. The build quality feels solid, and the thin bezels give it a nice modern look that fits well in my space. The sound is surprisingly decent for a flat screen, though you might still want a soundbar if you're looking for a full home theater experience. For a 55 inch 4K QLED, you really can't beat the value here. It's a great choice for movies and casual gaming. ... show more

  • SUPER IMPRESSED!
Size: 75-inch
First, I am not a TV-phile, so if you're expecting some kind of technical review, this is not it. This is a review for the everyday enjoyer of the TV who doesn't know what to by or why because there are so many options. What does LED mean? 4K? UHD? QLED? Etc., etc. This is an EXCELLENT TV for the price! The picture quality is spectacular. Setup and connection were brainless. It's really lightweight. It's big, so you're going to want to set it up with two people, but super light and super easy to set up. We bought the ULTIMEA 5.1CH Surround Sound Bar with Subwoofer, Dolby Atmos, VoiceMX, BassMX, APP, 300W Soundbar for Smart TV, Home Theater Surround Sound System for TV, BT 5.4, Poseidon M60 (2025 Model) system to go with it, and it is perfect for our living room. Not theater quality or home theater quality, but PLENTY good enough to thunder TOP GUN 2 in the living room! The TV connected very easily to this speaker and the speaker system turns on when you turn the TV on, so it just works like it should. I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with this purchase. ... show more

  • Really Nice TV
I was not sure what a QLED TV was all about but I can tell you the picture is much crisper/brighter/and sharper now that I purchased this TV. The colors are more vibrant too. Easy to use and love the size. I would say this is a high quality TV. The price was great. We love that it is Fire TV ready too. I would highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • Excellent video and audio quality for the price. Excellent video and audio quality for the price.
A good value. Telling all here whats important. I got the tv for 48% off. It is the lowest price QLED i had found, with the best reviews in comparison to other low cost sets. Initially the setup had some delays, but once it was all installed, after about an hour, the picture quality was EXCELLENT. It took some quick online troubleshooting to get out of the frozen "registering your tv" screen, just an unplugging, then it was on its way. It also requires the "7-Tap" maneuver on the ok button in Fire settings to open the developer function, as there is no "my fire tv" option anymore, to download the streaming app. One thing that will initially throw you off is that the backlight is set to 100% while the other are set to 0. So it looks terrible initially. This is easily remedied by adjusting the extensive picture settings, as well as sound. It has dozens of custom and preset options, and 3 different digital sound products. The sound is excellent. Excellent, but it doesnt get loud, and its a goodbidea to get a soundbar. But its sufficient for casual viewing. It doesnt have great picture at 45° angles, but still, excellent picture. No lag, no blurring in action scenes, and excellent color saturation. I found the best picture at 60% backlight with the color setting at 75%. The 3.5mm pin sound output has no amplifier, so my old stereo minisystem for my computer doesnt work with it. Theres a big volume drop you cant compensate for, so the modern HDMI audio cable is required, unless you use wifi audio, or an input booster for 3.5mm. I preferred the thin bezel design versus no bezel, as its safer for kids and animals, rough handling, however there is another version available with no bezel which is awesome for a few dollars more. It comes with only 2 mounting screws, so I had to go to the "Orange hardware store" to buy 2, 6mm x16mm screws and 4 washers. It recommends 12mm but doesnt account for washers and the mounting brackets. Otherwise, the tv is maybe 10 pounds, so 1 person mounting is easy. This is a tremendous value for only 2 Benjamins. Just know it requires some advsnced tuning versus 1080p sets that were instantly ready. But its worth the hour or 2 for the picture upgrade. If this set lasts for 10 years, its a real bargain! Will update if any problems occur. Some shots taken off news channel with my crappy galaxy phone. The images are better in person. Update 12/1/25 So far, picture quality is good, however I have noticed the screen occasionally goes black for a second, like others have noticed. I also purchased the Amazon fire soundbar with subwoofer. Sounds great, gets loud, but not party loud. My main gripe with it is the extensive equalizer settings on the TV are no longer available, with only 4 to choose from, movie, music, sports and night, with only movie sounding , and with surround sound. ... show more

  • For a tv of 55inch at $239.99 this is a bargain for the size, ease of use, and picture quality
I purchased the 55 inch tv. Been using for a month now. The setup is very easy and straight forward. Just add two legs if not wall mounting. Put the included batteries into the remote. Turn on tv., connect to your WiFi unless you hardwired, and probably will have to update everything, this process was the longest but was done in about 5min total. The remote control is intuitive to use, good response and has Alexa voice built in. I have found that the remote sometimes while on Amazon app most notably when pushing right to view movies or shows will jump back to the top where you can select what you prefer to watch then you have to push down a couple times to go back to where you where, this happens about 1/3 of the time and can be annoying. Other apps like Tubi Apple TV etc this doesn’t seem to be an issue. The size is accurate, with beautiful vibrant picture quality. There are many apps you can install to make it compatible with your streaming desires, and OTA connection to watch local tv with an antenna( not included). This is extremely light weight for the size but is durable, can be moved and setup by yourself without strain. The sound quality is adequate but if you prefer can hook up to a sound bar or home theater system for a surround sound experience and higher volume. Switching and opening apps does lag a little but less then on my webos tv. For a tv of 55inch at $239.99 this is a bargain for the size, ease of use, and picture quality. ... show more

  • Great for the money - FireTV software kinda buggy at times. Great for the money - FireTV software kinda buggy at times.
Size: 75-inch
Easy to setup. Within minutes connected to my phone and signed into all major apps. Amazon built in (Fire TV) so expect regular software updates and a stable experience. High quality picture. Low latency with gaming mode up to 60fps. Hung up on my wall using a small mount and no complaints after 3 months. Bright picture and a lot of adjustability in the settings to dial in your settings properly. I will say - the user interface is not snappy and fast as you’d expect on a Samsung but for the price I got it - can’t complain at all! ... show more

  • Good Quality TV with Nice Picture. Terrible OS!
I've never owned an Insignia TV or really ever used a Fire TV product, so this was my first time. I had no idea what to expect. The Bad: Let me just start with the fact that the Fire OS is absolute garbage. I fought with the settings for a couple of hours before giving up completely. If you're using what they consider the "Apps and Movies" input, and why wouldn't you, it's a Smart TV after-all, then you must be actively watching content in order to adjust picture settings. And even then, a select few of them are greyed out (ie. HDR Enhancer) with absolutely no ability to change them. Crazy. And if you've decided to add a Kid's profile/account to the TV, then just forget it. You've got no ability to adjust picture settings while logged in. Not even an option to enter a pin to unlock the settings menu. You're just locked out completely. So you've got to log out of the Kid's profile, then log back into the main one, just to adjust any setting. I just felt like everything was greyed out or locked, or put behind some kind of pin. It was clunky and tedious and I'll never fight with that again if I can help it. So here's how I fixed it. I bypassed that Fire OS garbage altogether. I grabbed one of my Roku Streaming Sticks off another TV and plugged it into HDMI 1. Now I've got full control over my settings menu and when I can adjust settings. I no longer need to be actively playing content, or logged out of a Kid's profile, in order to adjust anything. Problem solved. It's just crazy to me that I had to go with a completely different smart device on a smart TV in order to unlock basic settings menus. You need to fix this Amazon! The Good: After everything was solved, I did get a chance to adjust the picture settings and actually watch some content. I must say, for a $200 TV the picture and color are very nice. It even did a pretty good job with HDR content. For what we're using it for, YouTube and Disney+, it'll definitely get the job done. So as far as the quality goes, I'm pretty satisfied. So my opinion? If you need a basic TV for streaming apps and watching YouTube, you can't go wrong with something like this. I think the price to performance is actually quite good. However, I'd recommend ditching the Fire OS altogether and plugging in some other streaming/smart device like a Roku, Apple TV or Chromecast. This will definitely enhance the usability of this TV and keep you from wanting to return it. I found it also sped up performance since the Fire OS was slow and clunky. Hopefully this is something Amazon will address and improve upon in the future. ... show more
