  • ★★★★★ Excellent TV for the Price
Size: 50-inch
This 50-inch 4K Smart TV exceeded my expectations. The picture quality is sharp and vibrant, with great colors and clear detail. Setup was quick and easy, and the Fire TV interface is simple to navigate with access to all my favorite streaming apps. The sound is good, and everything runs smoothly. It’s an incredible value for the price, and I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone looking for a quality smart television. ... show more

  • My favorite television 🤩
Size: 50-inch
As a loyal Vizio user I am pleasantly surprised. My Vizio screen all of a sudden gave out after 4 years and I had to replace my big screen tv unexpectedly. I always loved the Vizio menu setup and options but I found this TV on sale 55inch for 159.99 so decided it was worth the cheaper price tag to try something new! Boy, am I happy I did! This TV is actually so much better in most ways than my previous Vizio. The setup was easy and It has extremely cool features. I love that the TV has Alexa and the microphone actually works, it never did work accurately on my Vizio. My 5 year old son is easily able to use the remote without my assistance due to this feature during his screentime. Also love that you can connect your Amazon photos and have them play as a screensaver! So cool! It's easy to go through the menu just use the microphone to go to whatever streaming service you need. The picture is beautiful too cant believe I got this TV for that price. A true smart TV. The only small cons I have is that the settings come up very delayed from when you clock the gear on the remote . Not a huge deal but weird and that when adjusting the picture it will pause the TV which takes it to a much brighter advertisment so I can't tell how I'm adjusting the show I'm watching. Fortunately it doesn't do this with all apps just seems to do it with Netflix sometimes 🤷♀️ other than that it's amazing! Would definitely recommend ... show more

  • Looks Great, Sounds Great, and That's Good Enough for Me
Size: 75-inch
I'm not an audiophile, home theater expert, or video calibration enthusiast. I just know when a TV looks good and sounds good, and this one absolutely does. The 75-inch screen is impressive, and the picture looks sharp, bright, and colorful to my eyes. Movies, sports, YouTube, and streaming shows all look fantastic. Maybe there are TVs out there with deeper blacks, better contrast, or more technical features, but for everyday viewing I honestly can't imagine needing much more. The built-in sound was also better than I expected. I may eventually add a soundbar, but it certainly doesn't feel required right away. Dialogue is clear, and everything sounds perfectly fine for normal use. Setup was simple, the Fire TV interface is easy to use, and the Alexa remote works exactly as it should. Within minutes I was signed into my apps and watching content. For the price, this TV feels like an incredible value. If you're like me and simply want a large TV with a great picture, good sound, and an easy-to-use interface, I think you'll be very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Purchased in Nov. 2025. SO MANY problems. Detailed Review. Do NOT buy!
Size: 50-inch
I have 2 other Insignia TVs that I purchased in 2020. Neither is a FireTV - Just regular TVs and they work great - still. I was looking for a larger TV and I had zero reservations about buying Insignia again. I was hugely surprised that I had an absolute miserable experience to set it up and later, watch. Problem 1: Wouldn’t connect with remote. Contacted Amazon via chat. Was told to unplug TV. Didn’t work. Unplugged again. Didn’t work. Unplugged modem and router. Connected to remote. Problem 2: Wouldn’t play Amazon Prime. Called this time. Spoke to first Amazon rep for over an hour. Got disconnected. Called back. Another hour. The guy couldn't recommend anything other than what the first Amazon guy said which was to disconnect my router and modem, unplug the TV and try again. The TV gets to a screen that says it "needs an update." Click on it to start the update which takes forever and then the TV restarts on its own and returns you back to the original blacked out "apps" that it is supposed to support (you can't see them, but they are supposedly there). Tried several times, and it kept going through the same cycle of "needing an update, waiting for 45 min for the cycle, restarting TV." Problem 3: Amazon phone rep asks for serial number which I read to him from a photograph I took of the back of the TV. He says it’s invalid. What I read to him clearly says "Serial Number" plus it had a manufacture date of June 2025. He asked me to send him the photo as he couldn't validate the serial number. I also gave him my Amazon order number. He said the photo shows another serial number - smaller and way less obvious - with a manufacture date of 1 year earlier (2024!) than the larger, central label with the "invalid serial number." What's going on with that Amazon? Are you slapping on a year younger serial number and manufacture date to make the TV look newer and not like it's one that has been in your store room for over a year? I bought the thing 24 hours ago. Problem 4: There is no user manual. Problem 5: The power cord hole to plug in is hidden with absolutely no reference on any of the 2-page pamphlet where it is located on the back of the TV. Other reviewers have mentioned this. If I didn't read a customer review, I never would have found the power connector. It's vertical! There's an indentation on the left side of the TV as you are facing the back. Hidden at the top of it (it's totally concealed - feel with your finger for it) is the input for the electric cord. Problem 6: Once started - there's still the issue of it going thru different screens with rectangles of the supposed apps it has all blacked out so you can’t see which app it is. No icons. Problem 7: When you finally get it to work and see the apps - and let's say you choose a movie on Amazon Prime - if you put it on "pause" and leave the room to get a snack , the TV will turn itself off. When you turn it back on you won't see the movie, but instead the home screen with all the apps. When you choose "Amazon Prime Video" to get your movie - the thing doesn't even show you the movie at this point. You have to use the search function to find said movie. The only saving grace is that when you find the movie, it does let you resume from where you left off. Other reviewers have noted that there is no setting to avoid the heavy lifting of trying to find your movie again. The auto shut-off engages to "save power" according to the other reviewers. I haven't experienced it shutting off while I'm watching a movie - only when I put it on "pause." As others have said, the interface is super sluggish. It takes a while to load whatever app you choose. Unless you enjoy wasting your life in the set up process (I cannot understand how folks say it's "easy" to set up - and I am pretty tech savvy), I wouldn’t recommend buying this TV. I, myself, am going to watch it daily for the next 2 weeks to see if it starts having the screen issues that others reported. In this way my return window is still open. BTW - TV size is measured on the diagonal. Some reviewers have measured the length of the TV and reported an incorrect size. Also don't be fooled by the $169 "sale price" or "cyber Monday" or "Black Friday" or whatever title is given to the price. The price is and was $169 for the 50" TV for a while (just go to "price history" and you can see it for this and any product sold on Amazon). Hope that helps all of you considering this set. If I had to do it over again, I'd suggest another manufacturer. ... show more

  • Good tv with one problem
Size: 50-inch
This tv is priced well, large, easy to mount, the display is very nice, bright and adjustable, clear sharp image, good refresh rate, basically no latency in the display, tons of connectivity and cool things it can do, overall I really like this tv there's just a couple small problems and one massive one, first small problem is its a bit slow with the remote, im not sure if its software or a connectivity issue but sometimes you press a button and it'll be several seconds before it reacts and occasionally will think youre holding the button down in this time, usually fixed by turning off and back on, no big deal, second small issue is some options just dont work, like you cant give feedback, the option is there it just wont select for whatever reason, and the final massive issue is you cant adjust the screen time out in anyway what so ever, it takes 20 minutes for the tv to turn off PERIOD, you cant adjust this through screen saver options, sleep timer settings or even third party apps, it seems Amazon has some sort of grudge against these tvs and for some reason sees keeping the tv ready for you when you get back from the bathroom as an unforgivable sin, ive heard talk about using an external device to code the thing and get rid of the sleep timer alltogether but I dont know how to do that, I dont feel comfortable doing that, and I dont want to buy a whole separate coding device just to keep my tv from turning itself off after 20 minutes, at the very least you can set it so when you turn it back on it picks up where you left off instead of having to go through the home menu and wait for it to load each screen separately, personally im happy with this tv but I cant reasonably recommend it for lacking a simple, essential, and crucial feature like adjusting the screen time ... show more

  • Great TV without a large price
Size: 55-inch
The TV works great! Its the perfect size for our living room as it's big enough to easily view the screen from all seat locations but doesn't overwhelm the space and become the center piece. The picture is great quality, easily connected to a multitude of apps and incredibly easy to set up and connect to a sound bar to optimize sound. ... show more

  • Excellent TV! Excellent bang for the buck!👍
Size: 50-inch
I seldom review items outside of the Amazon Vine program, but I was so impressed with this TV and the deal I got, I just HAD to. I got it on sale. A $300.00 50" TV for $169.00! Pretty hard to complain! It's not difficult to find a new TV for that price... but not at this size and of this quality. THE GOOD: It provides a crisp, beautiful, crystal clear picture that you would expect to see on a much more expensive unit. Menus are easily navigated, and controls are easy to use. The "OS" (for lack of a better term) is attractive and easy to use. Their audio leveling works better than on any other TV I've used (whispers can be heard, and explosions don't rattle your teeth). I've still never seen a flat screen TV at ANY price point with decent sounding onboard speakers, but these are among the best I personally have experienced (if you care about good sound quality, you'll still probably want to use your own external audio). I'm using the feet that were included, instead of a wall mount. They were easy to install, and much more stable than the ones on my last 2 TVs. THE BAD: It is my opinion that it could use a little more processing power. It takes an unusually long time to move between menus and screens, change channels, load movies, etc. (not that big of a deal, but it's a fact). As mentioned... menus are clear and easily navigated... but I can't find bluetooth controls anywhere. In fact... I can't find anything anywhere that indicates that this TV even HAS bluetooth. I've been looking for it since I saw it mentioned in other reviews, but can't find it (it's hard to imagine that it DOESN'T in this day & age). It seems like all TVs have some kind of proprietary sound enhancing software onboard. This one has "DTS Virtual-X Sound: An immersive sound format creates a three-dimensional sound experience with your TV’s speakers". As is always the case... they're WAY overselling it. As with most flat screen TVs... the onboard speakers are little more than "adequate", and completely incapable of sounding "immersive", regardless of whatever technology you shove into them. Something I personally loathe about new TVs, is where they place the inputs, and how they label them. They're always situated where they're easy to see and read from the BACK of the TV. The problem is... the back of the TV is a few inches off the wall, and moving it around is a hassle. TV manufacturers need to put the inputs near the edges of the TV so they're easy to find & reach, and labeled perpendicular to the TV, so they're legible while peering around from the front (BTW... it is my opinion that ALL TVs, regardless of size or price, should have a regular headphone output jack. They're ridiculously inexpensive for the manufacturer, and open up a lot of audio options when others fail). Regarding the remote... the trend these days seems to be smaller and smaller remotes with curved backs and slippery surfaces, making them difficult to hold on to, and impossible to operate with the remote sitting anywhere but in your hand. This one's no exception. Finally... in the instructions and on the back of the unit, they were careful to label everything so it was easy to locate, set up, and use. I don't know if it was supposed to be a joke or what... but they hid the point on the back of the TV where you plug the in the power cord, and they left it unlabeled on the back of the TV AND in the paperwork. I felt and looked all around the edges & the back. It took me a solid 10 minutes of looking before I found it. They did a weird "cut in" in a weird location on the back. The cut-in was easy to see, but the fact that it was functional was not. The power cord plugs in vertically, so the socket is hidden. If they'd label it, as they label the HDMI inputs etc., there would be no question at all. Also... the cut-in is too small, so the plug is difficult to insert. It's equally difficult to tell when it's completely inserted. You really have to kinda jam the cord in there, and there's a fair amount of pressure on the plug at all times. If/when the TV quits working, I'd wager right now, that THAT will be the reason. Horrible design flaw that should be easy for the manufacturer to fix. The "goods" definitely outweigh the "bads", and I strongly recommend this TV to anyone shopping for one!👍 ... show more
