I was searching around for barbels and weights when I stumbled into this product. I looked into it some more and learned that resistance band work outs are the BEST work outs you can do for your body as it works from the inside out. I have those typical resistance bands and I hate using them. they'd snap, feel awkward and uneven, and so forth, but this one seemed promising so I took a leap of faith and ordered one. I got a Heavy, I'm 5'3" 125 lbs super muscular legs but weak arms (hence why I got Heavy instead of Extra heavy). It's been a couple weeks, I can FEEL my body being firmer and holding itself better (posture). My butt looks and feels amazing. my arms are toning nicely and gaining strength. I already bought my mom one after she's tried mine, she LOVES it as well. If you can handle weight and have used them but not religiously, then Heavy is for you. if you're already a fitness guru and is ahead of your game, I'd go up to extra heavy. I live in an apartment and didn't realize until the day it arrived that it could damage my cheap apartment door, but then it has been two weeks and my door is still up and in one piece! My mom on the other hand was worried about her door (she just moved in her brand new house) so she used the front door and it worked for her. Garage door is doable too. My 4 yo son likes watching me use it and then try the techniques by himself. Another favorite part about this product is that I can get creative, I discovered that if you lay down with the bands connected to your feet (from the bottom of the door) and pull the band towards your face it will work on your lower abs and you'd feel the burn right there. this is a challenging work out (not HARD, but it puts your body to work!) and I sweat every time I use it. This is an item I'd like to forever use because it works for me and my body. EDIT: I'm back and I STILL USE IT! I absolutely love these bands! I am a 46-year-old black woman who is morbidly obese I weigh over 350 pounds and I love these bands! I have chronic osteoarthritis in my left knee and it’s very hard to walk or be active. This is the best purchase I’ve ever made because I can sit and use this by putting it underneath my feet and using it to exercise my arms back and chest! I also hold The ball portion of it in my hands and exercise my legs! My quads are getting stronger and my inner thighs as a result of using this band. This has helped me tremendously with the stiffness in my knee and strengthening my arms and quads. I honestly wasn't sure about how this would work. When I was working out at a gym I loved using the cable machines for glute and leg exercises. I gave up the gym and do now work out from home. This was definitely one of my best purchases off of Amazon. I did go with the heaviest one available. If you have more lower body strength and that is my case, then I would say go with the heaviest one so that you feel that you are really getting that resistance and workout. I'm loving these resistance bands! I have been into fitness for most of my life and have bought several exercise products throughout the year's especially resistance type product's for home workouts. I can honestly say I am impressed at how well made these bands are. They are not to lose on the release. They are tight on the pull back and keep resistance on the way back down. I am not looking for long range motion as I like to keep the resistance when I am working my booty and these bands have done that for me! Love these and I am very happy with my purchase. I was looking for something to add to my at home days exercise regimen, and that would challenge me just like the gym equipment. I am not disappointed and this product works great - is great for kickbacks, and hip exercises. I got the "heavy" for more of a challenge.
