This little baby has already saved me some money Does a good job of pulling codes and erasing Check Engine Light. It also has a decent Freeze Frame list for data at the time of the code. My only regret is not getting a unit with real time data, but that would have cost almost twice as much. It still does a good job and works on most cars with OBD. Make sure and download the Users Manual at the Innova website. Google the codes and you will find lots of info on how to fix and troubleshoot most problems with your car. Good Luck! ... show more

This is an excellent tool for the DIY mechanic or layman. It is plug and play with more information made available than I expected. All the information displayed is also explained in text on the tool for easy understanding. With one service diagnostic use, it pays for itself. Even if your check engine light is not currently on, it can retrieve intermittent faults that previously turned on your check engine light if they are stored in your vehicles memory. I am not too pleased with the online web tool however. All information you enter is forever. (credit cards, name and address, vehicle information) The account you must set up for this cannot be deleted and your information is sold to others. I started receiving junk mail regarding vehicle extended service warranty insurance after setting up the account. ... show more

    • If you're looking for ABS support, keep right on looking
This unit works fine as a code reader; however, there are many other products in this price range or even cheaper that will do exactly the same thing. What set this unit apart and sold me was the claimed ability to read ABS codes. I purchased this thinking it must be too good to be true, and perhaps I can finally get rid of the nagging ABS light in our Ford Escape. Unfortunately my suspicions were confirmed, and my vehicle ABS system is "not supported" when connected to the unit (despite Innova manuals claiming it would be). Several follow-ups with Innova tech support were inconclusive and apologetic but ultimately unhelpful. ... show more
