Each of our shop bays have one of these and uses it daily. This is a good quality drill. We use them for making pilot holes and they hold up for a long time.

I purchased this drill to replace the 7802R drill I purchased 30 years ago for my shop. The 7802RA is an exact replacement. I does not have the power that the 7802R had. Ingersoll Rand is a well made tool.

  • Does not hold up to scrutiny
Style: 7802RA 3/8” Heavy Duty Air Reversible Drill Pattern Name: Pnuematic Drill
I use these types of air drills very extensively in industrial applications, so I tend to wear cheaper ones out quickly. Tired of buying and replacing cheaper made drills, I decided to find a higher quality drill that is designed to stand up to heavy use for a longer period of time. With the Ingersoll Rand name and corresponding price tag, I expected this drill to be heavy duty and wanted something that would not fail as quickly. Average $20 cheap drill: failure at 4 weeks Ingersoll Rand drill: failure at 7 weeks Check the price and do the math. It's not worth the cost. ... show more
