This vest is perfect for snorkeling. It folds into a small size and fits in the included bag, making it ideal for travel. My previous preferred method when snorkeling was to us a foam pool noodle, but this vest is so much better. The manufacturer cautions that this isn't a life vest and shouldn't be used as one. I definitely wouldn't trust it for that purpose (like when paddle boarding or kayaking), but for snorkeling it provides adequate flotation. The staps to secure the vest are a little funky. The one that goes around your waist is fine, but the other one is intended to go around your shoulders and feels a little weird. Straps also cinch up after you inflate the vest, so you'll need to make final adjustments. Inflating and deflating the vest is straightforward. There are fancier inflatable vests available, but unless you snorkel frequently there's no need to spend a lot more when this vest will do the job for occasional use. The price is reasonable, and as I said, it works a lot better than a pool noodle.

I picked this up for my daughter for an upcoming snorkel trip and so far we've been happy. Features I like: it works and portable for travel. It is on the bulkier side though and because of that it seems to constrain some movement but generally we're happy because it does ease the fear when in open water. It certainly isn't a life preserver, but it's a good assist for those less confident swimmers.

I'm going to a resort on the Indian Ocean and they have snorkeling. Not being the strongest swimmer, this is perfect!. The Inflatable Snorkel Vest for Adults will give me a bit of confidence while I am snorkeling. It's not to be used as a life vest, but will certainly help me. It folds flat and won't take up much space in my bags, so it's great for travel!

The media could not be loaded. What I love about this inflatable swim jacket that is actually not a floatation device ( read attached directions) but it does give me confidence to try something new. I have never been snorkeling but plan to this summer and when I saw this I thought for sure I would need the buoyancy and something just in case I get out too far or lost I would have this for extra safety. This jacket has two straps…one goes around your waist and the other goes down your back and they all buckle to the jacket making it impossible to slip off if put on correctly. I also liked that it’s a neon color so I can be seen from afar. What else I would like to say is that this is made very well and can be used by people up to 220 pounds. The material is made of 60% Polyester and 40% PVC so it’s pretty strong! The direction also do say that in an emergency this product does not provide floatation in all instances so we need to keep that in mind. Super happy with this choice and I cannot wait to get out there and use it. One more thing is this is hand wash only and cannot be put into the dryer either. I will give you an updated post after I have given it a try!!

I ordered this to provide some buoyancy assist for snorkeling, not as a life preserver. I've found having a bit of added assistance helps me be able to snorkel longer between breaks. This vest inflated pretty easily. It didn't need that much effort to inflate. And deflated easily as well. I was only able to briefly try it in water and it held me up just fine. After our trip I'll update if there is anything relevant.

Great idea if you plan to do any swimming on your vacation. It will not take up much space in your bag and there is no CO2 cartridge to worry about. Strictly inflatable by mouth. Not intended as a life preserver but it could serve as one in an emergency. It fits comfortably and has adjustable straps.

I’m taking a friend snorkeling, but she was nervous about the thought of going too low in the water. When I saw this vest, I had to get it. It will give her the confidence to try snorkeling by allowing her to control how buoyant she is in the water. Now, after checking it out, I think it will work great!
