I love how minimal this light looks when tucked in with plants. Its almost hard to tell it is there when it is off. My plants love it and it is easy to maneuver and adjust. The only downside to this light is that my plants keep growing up into the hole of the light. I have to check almost daily to keep plants out of the hole.

I'm a Master Gardener and have lots of knowledge about outdoor growing, but I'm a newbie where inside plants are concerned. Basically, I never put the effort into learning until my Master Gardener education. A big issue in my home is that I don't have a single south facing window, so having enough natural light is hard to come by. The best lighting in my home is in front of an east facing patio door, which is where my little plants collection resides. My plants were doing OK, but I thought that more light would be better. I was definitely right. Within 2 weeks of setting up the light, I could see a big difference. I have an Aftican Violet that hasn't bloomed in almost a year that is finally blooming again, and my Poinsettia is growing lots of new leaves. The geranium cutting I've been nursing all winter has 5 leaves for the first time. (Before adding the light it had 2.) I haven't played around too much with trying the different spectrums, since my plants are doing well with the brightest setting. The control is easy to use, and the light goes on and off automatically at the same time every day once you choose the timer length. The place where this light lacks a bit is in sturdiness. I bought another light that has a similar gooseneck that's easy to adjust. When I adjust a gooseneck on this light, it starts tipping over. I have to hold the pole while moving the gooseneck or it will crash to the ground. The base just doesn't have enough weight to hold it in place. Of course, once it's set up you won't be playing with it too much. Mine is behind a shelf against a wall, so it's safe. It's definitely more stable on a hard floor than a carpeted floor, and I wouldn't put it out in the open if you're going to possibly bump it or especially if you have kids. If it were more sturdy, it would easily be a 5 star product.

We live in the midwest and get some really cold winters so all the plants that are outside need to come in. I don't really have enough windows that let in full sun to keep them all alive and thriving so they rotate and by springtime they are looking pretty rough but still holding on. This tall grow light is just what I needed to provide the much lacking light for some of my bigger plants that need the additional sunlight. The base is nicely weighted so that it is pretty stable and you can add/remove sections from the vertical post to set the height for your particular plants. Mine are pretty tall, so I have it at full height and it's darn near perfect.
