This incubator that holds 48 eggs it half the price is very simple to use, clean am I two hatches so far have had 85% plus hatch rates. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this as a test to compare to my GQF unit, its clearly a Brinsea style knock off and I thought it would be interesting to try vs dropping $600 on a similar sized Brinsea. I set this incubator and a GQF Hovabator at the same time to compare. I had little hope / faith in this unit but boy was I wrong. Despite multiple power outages, wild temperature swings (its that time of year), and barn heater outages this thing chugged along without a hiccup maintaining temperature and humidity, it hatched 28 of 30 eggs. A 95+% hatch rate with 0 effort other than keeping the water bottle filled and pulling the turner at day 18. The hovabator? Not so great at a 50% hatch rate. I would definitely recommend this based on my sample size of 1 with 1 test. It works flawlessly, insanely easy to clean and sterilize, unbelievable easy to use, my only criticism is the candler is worthless, I tested it and it wasn't bright enough I just stuck with my handheld one. I don't need this as a setter, like I said it was just a test out of curiosity but I may grab another one and just use these as hatchers for my cabinet incubators.

I bought this incubator to hatch duck and goose eggs.I bought eggs from two different people on ebay.I candled my 30 eggs on day 7.Tossed out all the duds.I was left with 18 viable eggs.Out of the 18 I had 15 hatch.4 geese and 11 ducklings.Just so you understand that is very good for hatching eggs sent in the mail.If i need another incubator I’ll definitely buy this model again.I am totally impressed.

I loved this incubator when I got it. It hatched great and was easy to use. After a few times of using it the screws on the interior began to rust so I reached out to the seller to see if something could be done and they were not helpful. I have searched all of the hardware stores near me as well as online and have been unable to find replacement screws so now I’m stuck with an incubator that I can’t use. I don’t recommend this for the long term and for the price it’s too expensive for short term. If the seller were to make this right it would change my mind but I can’t get them to reply back to me.

This is not an "Out of the Box" review. My 9 year old was able to put this together and get it started. She was able to keep up with the humidity and the temperature maintained automatically. It was easy for her to take the eggs out and check the progress. She had a great hatch rate. It keeps track of the days and automatically changes the humidity for the last three days.

Excellent, really good quality for the price, took me a while.to find a good reliable incubator, just has slight issues on measuring exact temp and humidity but not by alot, other than that doesn't make much noise at all and simple to clean

While this incubator initially looks great, There are pros and cons that consumers should check before purchase. I have had eggs in this incubator for 4 days, beginning the day it arrived. Pros: sturdy all plastic construction..no styrofoam, configurable egg tray for varied sized eggs, easily understood controls for temperature control, rotation of eggs and humidity. Auto rotation for the incubating eggs is good and done slowly in increments so the developing embryo is not disturbed. There is an external channel to add water without having to pick up the cover. This is in addition to the 'self drip' system. Overall, very quiet. Cons: The auto humidity drip system is poorly planned out with the auto water dispenser not working well or not at all. There is an alarm (beeping) that alerts when the humidity is too high or low...annoying multiple times during the day as well as overnight. Humidity should not have to be checked continuously. The humidity has been difficult to control varying from 30%-70% and necessitating adding ventilation by slightly raising 1 edge of cover if too high or adding more water to increase humidity if too low. There are 2 top vents but they seem inadequate to assist in maintaining proper humidity. This is not good nor consistent for developing embryos. The volume of the unit could be increased, this allowing the humidity to be better dissipated uniformly throughout the unit instead of constantly having to monitor the level. The overall unit is 6 inches high with some of that volume taken up by the eggs and egg tray. Humidity builds very rapidly and then exceeds the optimum level or drys out quickly necessitating adding water. This is accomplished (for this unit I have) by adding water to the external channels or raising the top plastic lid a fraction to allow some of the humidity to dissipate. I have another incubator brand that has more volume in the unit and, once I add water, it maintains the humidity much more efficiently. I rarely have to add water and it has sufficient ventilation holes to allow some humidity to dissipate and help maintain the proper level of with very little input from me other than checking it once morning and once night. Overall, for the price on sale, it is a unit to be considered when looking for an incubator but be aware of the humidity fluctuations.
