  • Great for the money, fits perfectly, sturdiness questionable.
I was skeptical of this after reading a few of the bad reviews, but it works fantastic! I tested it on my first-up brand canopy today before a long camping vacation. Easy for me to install alone, zips fully to the ground, and reaches the ground when the canopy is at the highest height (6ft+). I'm a little worried how the velcro will hold up...its sewed to the plastic but the connection is so strong that itll tear off within a few uses. I may redo with tie straps instead before it tears. It also comes in 2 pieces, so you have zippers on opposite sides. The two pieces are held together by the zippers, which worries me with sturdiness as well, but this can be reinforced by criss crossing the velcro at the top of the zipper. Overall though I'm very happy with the purchase, and I think itll last years with a little care and modification. ... show more

  • It will have to do
So I decided to fix up my patio a bit, since I've wanted to screen it in for the 15 years I'm living here but I don't have $3K. So for like $170 I bought a 10 x 10 canopy that is collapsible (I have to be able to put it up and take it down easily, by myself, and I'm 62 and not even 5 feet tall; also, it has to be compact once it's taken down, it has to go into my 1-car garage for storage, because I live in Florida and we get those occasional hurricanes...). So of course, this being Florida, we have occasional mosquitoes (did I say occasional? I meant flocks of them the size of Godzilla). So I decided to buy the mosquito netting, hoping that would keep the space relatively bug-free, mainly at night of course, because who sits outside in Florida during the day? I forget exactly what the netting cost, I'm thinking it was around $50-$60 or something like that. It said that it came in two 20-foot sections (that means that for a 10 x 10 canopy, each section covers 2 sides). I figured each section would have a zippered "door" in it, and because one side of the canopy was almost up against my back sliding doors and the opposite side had the optional fabric panel (to provide some privacy), I assumed that I would be able to hang the netting up in such a way that one zippered door would be on the side right by my sliding doors, and the other zippered door would be on an adjacent side. However, when I opened the package of the netting, it turned out, as I discovered, that there is no zippered door in the panels; the panels each have zippers ON THEIR ENDS, and need to be zipped TO EACH OTHER. And there is the door. So that means I have one zippered door right by my sliding door, and the other on the opposite side, which can't be used. And there are no "doors" on the other 2 sides. Oh well. The other issue is that the netting has Velcro loops so you can hang it all around from the framework of the canopy. By no means is there any snug fit. So, plenty of bugs can find their way in and, given the fact that their brains (and here I am being generous, calling them brains) are very, very tiny, they cannot find their way back OUT. I can resign myself to Japanese beetles and flies, but NOT flocks of Godzilla-sized mosquitoes. So, I had to also buy a little bug zapper ($25 at CVS, hardly worth it), a can of outdoor flying insect fogger, and a can of yard insect spray. Which would be OK except not everybody likes the idea of these sprays, or their smells, and if you have food inside the canopy it's not a good idea to have to be spraying this stuff. So I also had to drag out my mosquito-repellent coil bracelets (which DO work, in case you're wondering). I almost bought a citronella candle but oddly enough, on the box it said it does not repel mosquitoes. SRSLY?? So what I'm saying is, the netting is OK for as much as it does, keep out some flying things. It doesn't by any means keep out all flying things, and things can still crawl in from the top and from underneath the edges...but it's better than nothing. My guests seemed to be OK with it. ... show more

  • Doesn’t fit properly Straight leg 10X10 Colman
It was exactly what I needed. Disabled but enjoy being outdoors. I was thinking a homemade mosquito netting setup when I found this. I thought my medications caused user error for the 3 hours wondering what I was doing wrong because it just wouldn’t reach all the way around coming up short at the zipper. Called my old secretary and she saw the topp edge seemed to fit but the bottom didn’t she advised I bring the bottom legs inward: I was so glad the zipper finally closed and retire. But, what I didn’t realize until today after close observation during heavy winds was that canopy roof cover was way too tight and could rip, inside the extra patch mererial that covers the bend junction along roof arms and the screws for added protection were not in the proper place because the legs were not fully extended the arms were not snapped down all the way making it very tight as well as the pointy spot along each arm taking the needed slack. See photos video below please ideas thoughts Looks like I’ll have to revisit homemade options The video if allowed shows the roof problems and photos show how I was bAck to squar 1 zippers won’t close.after correcting the side pane, problems returned . Lastly as others have noted to unzip open the doorway you must have two free hands- I use a cane so for me to get in or out o end up holding1 side down with my shoe somthing not in the directions : ... show more

  • Worked for Costco 10x10 Proshade
Used this on a recent 5-day camping trip and couldn't have been more satisfied. Unpacked carefully. Attached it to the canopy and wrapped it around one velcro at a time, zippered the next section and continued. The only challenge was attaching the velcro on the scissor top frame, and the last zipper. Had to reset a few velcro straps and push the shade legs closer. In fact, had to release one corner of the shade to release tension. The shade was at the lowest height as usual and the mesh siding folded over about 4inches where I could lay rocks to seal to the ground. The mesh and zippered entrance held up perfectly on dirty rocky soil. The mosquitos and large black flies were thick and persistent outside and not inside. It made for pleasant cooking and eating. A few persistent insects were able to wedge their way in from the top and bottom, but most came in when entering and exiting. Two teenagers using the zipper one-handed and stepping on the bottom skirt, or using two hands didn't damage the zipper. The mesh was thick and held up, but we did avoid scrapping it and poking it. Although it did get a bit dirty sitting on the ground, it should clean up easy. Carefully folded and put back in the shipping box for storage. Easily worth the money if only for one time use. We will use it again with pleasure. ... show more
