I bought this because Slingshot is known for quality and everyone at the company participates in the sports they cater to. Also I knew several people who have the board. The quality is very good. It comes with a real FC2 fin, not one of those flimsy kind. It is very firm once inflated. The shape if pretty versitile. The carbon paddle is very nice, much better than expected. Some areas for improvement: The bag ripped pretty soon after I got it. It is not designed very well. I'll probably ask for a replacement but if it is the same I think it will still be prone to ripping due to where the mesh is located. For my purposes I would like a nose that curves up a little more, it would help for rough water, surfing on waves or riding small rapids on rivers. More D-ring attachment points would be nice. I noticed a lot of other companies had more D-rings. They also offered attachment points to attach a kayak seat to use as a sit top kayak. I found myself reverting to sit down when it's super windy or big waves and the ability to convert to a kayak would be very nice. I plan to add D-rings to my board or get a new one (because I still want a more upturned nose). Neverless, I had a great time on this board after one season. I love this SUP. The transportability and convenience of a inflatable SUP makes all the difference. Very durable. It does take a little effort to pump this board to the PSI requirements, but once you do you’re good to go. Deflation is simple and the convenient backpack makes transport a breeze.
