You need a base with this bed frame. I just ordered a board to go with it cuz right now its too tall with the current base i got. The LED lights are cool, theyā€™re bright, but also not annoying to the eye. Received it a couple months ago but setting up up just now. The set up is pretty easy and instructions are well written. The only reason for the bad review is that the support is short. Have contacted the seller if they can send a replacement and awaiting their response. Edit: realized I did not update and dropping the rating to a 1 star. I did contact seller. I sent them either a video or picture (I canā€™t remember) but they wanted additional pictures to the one I had already provided. Not sure why other than guessing that they thought I was lying which obviously I was not because all I wanted were the parts not a refund AND I provided proof. So, I didnā€™t bother because I had completed it at midnight and threw my bed on top of it and wasnā€™t about to pick up the heavy bed just to retake pictures they wanted. Whenever Iā€™m done procrastinating, Iā€™ll probably have to buy my own wood to make up for the 2ā€¦3 ? Short ones. So just be aware that the seller definitely will make you jump through hoops if their has a defect of their own making. ... show more

Came earlier than expected which was nice. Took my husband a few hours to assemble, but he did it alone. It fits perfectly in my sonā€™s room and a step up from the twin bed he was using previously. Great quality for what we paid. I also like that the lights Velcro to the bed. If youā€™ve used the LED lights for your kids room before you know the struggle with ensuring they stick. I donā€™t normally write reviews and feel compelled to share on this one. 1) delivery: less than 1 week and faster than original estimated shipping. Looks like rather than all the way from China they had it stocked in Chino, CA already. Can we thank tariffs for this one? Maybe so! 2) assembly: decent instructions. My recommendation, lay out all the pieces (labeled by letters). Be careful to ensure all brackets are installed facing direction of pic. I had to flip a few because it was a learning process. Easier if you assign your child as ā€œparts managerā€ and have them help you with the included allen wrench. Very convenient. 3) app: they charge $35 for the light app, skip it and have your kid use the 2 switches (one for headboard lights and one for underneath bed). I presume velcro for lights may need reinforcing if they keep falling (tbd). 4) slats: if kids jump on the bed they look like they could break and then cause squeezing. My daughter loves her bed and said she slept amazing. Now how to get her out of bed? ... show more

I have done a lots of assembly. This one seemed never ending. 3 hours of assembly. Drawing orientation is not easy to follow. They are missing two longer screws which I had to source separately. Slats are positioned almost at the top of the bed frame, therefore leaving no room for a low profile box spring to fit in for the mattress to rest on. So the mattress slides off. Their product pictures do not show that. Also without a box spring, you can see the slats at the top of the bed frame. Once finished, LEDs give it a nice touch. However, in my view, the frame lacks solidity for long use. ... show more
