  • Well worth the money and will purchase a backup set!
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Small, Natural White
First off, the order process was easy, tracking was perfect, and my items arrived late afternoon the day it was scheduled to arrive. I only order from Amazon occasionally, but I was impressed with the speed and efficiency! Kudos to Amazon on their process and delivery. Now for the product. I ordered the small natural teeth and an extra bag of pink material and white beads. I didn't end up needing any of the extra material, but I'm glad I ordered it in case I need to make adjustments or if I need extra for a second set. I ordered the small. Now the website advises taking a measurement across your 4 front teeth. Less than or equal to 1-1/8 inches is small and 1-1/4 inches or more is large. I'm an average to smaller sized male, 5'8", 160lbs and my measurement is just under 1-1/4. I considered the large, but everything I read or saw on the Internet said that the small was better for the average sized mouth. I ordered the small and am glad I did...they are a perfect fit. Unless you are over 1-1/4 inch across your 4 front teeth, I recommend the small. I've seen videos and pictures of the bleached white and unless you have bleached lower teeth or dentures, definitely get the natural color. Even these are a bit bright, but I'm a smoker, so my bottom teeth have been slightly colored from smoking. Fitting these is not difficult, but you HAVE to pay attention to the instructions and watch some videos on YouTube, especially the one from Nancy, the inventor and her husband. I got an almost perfect fit the first time, but tried to make it better and screwed up the whole fit. I was frustrated and decided to try again the next day. That's the beauty of these...you can always put them in some near boiling water, re-melt the plastic, and start all over again. The second time I got a fit I'm happy with. I've worn them daily ever since and they are very comfortable. If not, you need to re-set them...there should be no pain, rubbing, or interference with bottom teeth with your jaw closed. I smoked with them in a few times for a little coloration to match my bottom teeth, but usually take them out unless I'm using my e-cigarette. I guess this may help me complete the switch from cigarettes to the e-cigarette, since I don't feel the need to take them out when vaping. There's no way I could eat with them in without absolutely destroying them. I avoid drinking anything with them in, unless I'm using a straw, which completely bypasses the appliance. I only have one molar left in my mouth, so I'm a tough case when it comes to fitting. On the left side, the end of the appliance matched exactly with the last tooth on that side. On the right side, I'm missing the last 2 teeth that would normally anchor that side. I ordered extra plastic material because of this. I built up extra plastic in that area in place if those 2 teeth. While not perfect, since there's no solid anchor at the end of the appliance on that side, it's plenty solid. The fit is tight enough on my other teeth and the extra material keeps the end stiff and in place, so I have no issues and it still works with the missing teeth. If you have teeth missing anywhere in the middle of other teeth, it can actually help to hold the unit tightly, but if they're at the end of the appliance, it can be problematic, but with patience can be done. I've had bad teeth since birth. Brushed 2-3 times daily, minimum, and still had cavities almost every dental visit. Not having insurance for why too many years has taken it's toll. I've managed to keep my front teeth and have a bridge on the left side. Since the back ones aren't very visible, taking care of these frint teeth has been the goal and all I've been able to afford. Last week, I chipped my right front tooth badly, approximately 25% gone. My years of covering the best I could for my bad teeth was over instantly with that chip...it looks horrible and very noticible. Try as I might to hide it, I could tell people were noticing at work and client locations that I visit. I'm saving up to fix it, but until then, this product is a godsend. I can hardly believe that this product works as well as it does for $30 + shipping ($6 for the extra material, which I didn't end up needing, even with the last 2 teeth on my right side missing). Is it perfect? No. Will it work for everyone? No. But if you have enough teeth left to anchor the appliance and plenty of patience, this solution can change your life. I went from a decent smile to looking like a crackhead with one huge chipped tooth. This product changed that, very affordably and quickly. Now my upper teeth look MUCH better than even before the chipped tooth. My girlfriend is impressed with them and is jealous that I was able to fix the problem this cheaply and quickly...she's spent many months and hundreds of dollars on dental work in the last couple of years. While I'll still need to get work done, it's not an emergency anymore and I can save, getting the work done at a pace I can afford. If you're skeptical, don't be...these will work as long as you have the teeth to bond and mold to, you CAN make these work, if you are serious enough. I can't thank Imako enough for the product they sell and will be a repeat customer! They really are changing things for the better for people, one smile at a time. If you've never experienced the discrimination that can come with bad teeth, you may not understand how people are turned down for jobs, may lose business deals, and social opportunities simply because of the appearance of their teeth. It even becomes the thing that people remember about you the most...a label that sticks to you in the minds of others. Most folks can't help it...it's a natural aversion that many people have, but now there is a way to change it. Once you have a new smile, people will notice...I tell them that I had a cosmetic dental appliance fitted. It's no one's business that I was the one who fitted it...lol. Everyone who has noticed, so far, has thought it was professionally done...and I just smile! ... show more

  • WTF did I buy?
Ok, I will do a top to bottom review. First, they come in a package, with a before and after picture of what these teeth are supposed to do. Okay, so when I open it, there is a white container that has a REDICULOUS sticker on it saying, "If found, please return to:" Why would I want someone to return these to me? They are $35 dollars, not $3500! Also, in the imako teeth holder container, they have a little bag inside, just for you! It has a little pink gum part that you roll as thin as a spaghetti noodle, and 9 little white balls that you shape into teeth incase you have missing teeth. How fun! Alrighty, let's move on to the TEETH! They come straight, they are not shaped or anything, that is fine, but I don't think the instructions came in the description. Here is the instructions that came with the teeth: BEFORE YOU BEGIN- Wash hand, floss & brush teeth. Review this instruction booklet. ITEMS NEEDED: A mirror, a timer with seconds displayed, a pot of simmering water, a ceramic bowl and scissors/nail clippers. It says Imako teeth arrive flat. 1. Soften the chunk of pink plastic in a bowl of very hot water. Remove with a spoon. Roll it out on your palm until you have a thin tube the size of a spaghetti noodle the width of your palm (you have more than necessary). Keep soft by dipping in hot water. 2. Turn the Imako teeth upside down and briefly dip halfway into the hot water to make it receptive to bonding. 3. Attach the pink spaghetti piece to the top edge of the back layer. 4.Refresh hot water in bowl. Place teeth face down in the bowl. When the back layer turns completely clear, pour off the water. 5. The teeth will be floppy. Use mirror. Pull lip forward, insert and position teeth. Press once very firmly against each of your teeth. Gently rub through your lip to get the pink to lay against your gums. Keep it still. Use one hand to keep sides in place and one hand to keep front in place. Gently support the position for TWO MINUTES and no longer! 6. Remove teeth by spreading from below. Let cool until back layer turns white. Try on! If not satisfied melt back again. 7. Snip off the tips of any points which are formed where two teeth meet the gum, or it will cause discomfort. Alrighty, that is all the instructions. They have a bunch of warnings too, like, if they get stuck in your mouth, do not use force, swish the hottest water you can withstand and scrape it all off. YUCK! Oh well, I guess you really do get what you pay for! ... show more

  • I can open my mouth again
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1) Color: Small, Natural White
I am in recovery from both bulimia and a fentanyl & meth addiction; repeated exposure first to stomach acid and then to drugs absolutely ruined my teeth. I don’t have a “before” photo because I do not and will never allow there to be any photographic evidence of how bad my teeth look, but for reference, I’m missing two of my front teeth, not the top middle two but the ones on either side of those two. It’s bad. I plan to eventually get implants, but, dental anxiety aside, implants are crazy expensive so it’s going to be a while until I can do that. I’ve had these for about a week, I’ve taken several photos of myself since I got them but when I was trying to find one to include in this review, I realized I didn’t have any where you could see what they look like because I’ve conditioned myself to always smile with my mouth closed, so I had to take this one specifically for this review. I’m so happy with them. They’re obviously not professional quality veneers, but they’ll do until I can pay for implants. I can smile and laugh without reflexively covering my mouth, I can talk to people without constantly monitoring how wide I’m opening my mouth. It’s hard to explain to someone with good teeth how devastating severe tooth damage is to your self esteem, and how much better I feel now. I didn't get the impression right on the first try (idk what I did wrong but when I went to try them on they wouldn’t go back in), but it was an easy fix: I put them back in hot water, smoothed the plastic back out, and tried again and that time it worked fine. I imagine I’ll have to replace them a few times before I can afford implants, they’re not meant to be permanent, but they do what I needed them to do and they’ll work in the meantime. ... show more
