It doesn't completely get rid of my pain but helps a little. It also doesn't seem to provide relief for long and it gives you that weird tingly feeling. It's the only thing I've found that helps with tooth pain so I'm still planning on using. It's worth it if you are using it temporarily while waiting to get into dentist.
