    • Long wired camera with light and screen
Have wanted one of these for a while. The camera is a lot longer than I thought and is pretty clear. There are actually two cameras one on the end and one on the side that you can switch between by pressing the OK button. You can even flip the pictures with the left or right four different ways. There is a light in the end so it can see in dark spaces. It’s rechargeable and should last a couple hours. I charged it for an hour and when it’s charging it has a red light and when it’s done the red light turns off when fully charged. It comes with a case and even some hooks that you can use on the end to pick stuff up if needed. The camera is a separate wire and you should be able to get different ones if you need them. You can record and take pictures but you need some type of card that is not included. There is an on switch on the side to turn it on or off and I had to set the time using the back or return button and toggling to the time settings and and hitting ok and toggling to the right times and date and hitting ok till everything was set. This will come in handy and is great to have just in case you need it. ... show more

A scope like this is on every plumbers truck these days. I have plugged drains at a riverside warehouse and this is helping clear them. When we run the snake and the water blaster down each drain we can then send this camera down and see what is next blocking the pipe to best determine how to clear it. This endoscope is rechargeable. They say it can operate up to 5 hours. So far we have used it for perhaps 3 or 4 hours over two days and still on the same charge. There is both a forward looking camera and a side viewing one. So if you have a T or Y pipe intersection you can easily changed which camera you are viewing. There is a bright light so the video is clear to see. There is a plug in for a memory card if you want to share or record the video. I have no need for that function so I have not used the memory feature. This is a nice device to have. I bought this endoscope to try to find the hole in mySump pump pipe. This worked great at finding the hole. That's where this endoscope comes into play. I was able to feed the scope through the pipe and down into the runoff tube and I did manage to find a hole (in addition to a bunch of junk). Since I was feeding it into a fairly large "pipe", it was a bit tricky keeping the scope oriented, as the semi-flexible cable may curve and twist as you feed it in. The more cable you feed in, the harder it is to control. Because of this, I think the 16 ft cable is the longest recommended length...anything longer will be too difficult to control in any space wider than a 2" pipe. I also highly recommend getting the dual lens camera. I found myself switching back and forth between the two cameras a lot. Often, the front camera didn't show much because it was lying directly against the bottom of the duct, but the side camera would show the top or side of the duct. The IPS screen is good quality and a nice size. Resulting video/pictures are good considering the size of the camera. I downloaded the pictures onto my computer and the quality actually looks a bit better on the endoscope screen vs my computer...perhaps because the pics are so much bigger on my computer. This was my first attempt at using the endoscope and I'm sure my pictures will improve as I get better at holding the probe steady. I did find it difficult to figure out if I needed to push or pull to get the camera centered on what I wanted. Perhaps that will also get easier the more I use it. All-in-all, this is a handy little endoscope. In addition to household DIY, I could also see this being useful with car/engine repair. Who hasn't dropped a bolt or nut into a small opening when working on your car or lawnmower? The endoscope comes with a hook and a magnet which would help retrieve said bolt or nut.
