I replaced my old microwave range hood with this IKTCH hood. It is a game changer! I used it for almost a month now and so far it performs very well. Strong suction, easy to control, and quiet (when power 1 and 2, 3+ are more noisy but not very loud at all). It is easy to clean. The best part is the removable filters that I can throw them into my dishwasher. It is easy to install and it fits under my cabinet perfectly.

First off this unit looks great! It was thinner than the one I WISH I installed, the one recommended by "this old house" etc but that unit was too thick and I wanted a quick install. Price is right and it fit where my 60's era Nutone range was. Out of the box the flapper valve was stuck and had to adjust with pliers to make sure I didn't have reduced suction. quality control for sure could up it’s game. The lights that come with it are very dim- my old garbage Nutone range with the old oven light had nicer light. Hopefully I can buy brighter lamps so I don't feel like I need a flashlight. So here's my experience when trying to contact "Iktch" to get a replacement motion sensor because I thought mine didn't work. (turns out if you turn the unit on with the power button the motion sensor will not work anymore. ) .The buttons are those "light touch" buttons that require technique to use. The remote works great! ha ACTUAL buttons that are instant and quick and are not annoying. All in all this this unit works -the buttons take a bit of getting used to- kind of like an iPhone screen. At first I slammed this unit in my review but using it a few months it has grown on me and for the price I can honestly say I don’t regret buying it. Works well. I’ll be changing the lights to a brighter one as they’re a bit dim but it’s a good unit.

The product itself is very nice . It is as advertised . It works Great . Lighting is as well nice . The weight is okay but you need two people to install it . It's versatile in terms of use . All the buttons work as they should while operating it . Installation is very quick and easy . And one more thing about this product customer service is fabulous . They are very prompt and respond to customers inquiry ASAP and try to solve their problems without further delay . I would highly recommend friends and family to buy it ...🙂😊

I looked at dozens of vent hoods and spent hours making my selection. Top priorities for me were a) high volume air movement, b) bright, adjustable illumination, c) solid and durable construction, d) good price point. I saw this unit with 900 CFM and a price under $400 and I bit despite not having heard of iKTCH. The good news: A) The 4-speed motors do a pretty good job (not as good as I expected but OK). B) The build quality and finish on the unit was good. C) Cleanable baffle grill filters fit well and are convenient. The bad news: A) There are numerous errors in the manual and in the item description. B) This unit has a "gesture control" feature that lets you wave your hand to change fan settings. That's ok but I am tall and my head turns on the lights and fans just standing at the stove. THERE IS NO WAY TO TURN THE GESTURE CONTROL OFF! What a bummer. I have to put tape over the sensors to avoid turning the thing on and off every time I reach for something or get too close. C) The unit comes with a remote control that does not appear in the manual. Operating with the remote seems silly and unnecessary. D) The project description says that this unit can accommodate either a round 6" vent or a rectangular vertical vent. This is misleading. The only way to connect is using a rectangular 3.25 x 10" vent (although this can be connected then to a 6" round flexible duct). E) The manual says on page 2 that a damper is "not included" and not recommended due to noise. This is wrong. The unit I bought has a built in flip-up damper at the connection point. F) The manual is hilariously translated. If they asked me, I would fix it for them for free. The operation section on page 12 is super confusing and entirely unhelpful. The safety section says that the build up of greasy residue in the blower and filters may "cause increased inflammability". Um, no, the exact opposite. G) This thing has to be on speed 3 or 4 to really clear smoke and at that speed it is quite loud. For some dumb reason when I read the specifications and saw up to 900 CFM and 28-64 dB sound, I suppose I believed it. I can't measure either but even if this is rightl 64 dB IS pretty loud. I installed a 600 CFM blower in a previous home and it removed smoke better than this one. In summary, you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a 3-star vent hood that is very affordable that will do things ok, then this unit is fine. I had hoped this would be a real quality value play. It's not.

Pros: I liked the air suction. Design was nice but the promo amy logo makes the unit look cheap. Cons: Unit has power issues (constantly flips the breaker after working fine for a year) I now have to buy a new unit... Motion sensors way too sensitive (had to electrical tape them so they would not be activated while I was cooking). Vent fitting had to be modified to fit my existing house vent. Lights are very bright blue. Lights are have a blue tone and when I searched for alternative warmer lights I could find no replacements anywhere (including Amazon). To do it again: Buy at Lowe’s and return immediately if there are issues and get an extended warranty. Get the optional three year warranty if you purchase!
