    • Nice for the DIY type
I already have a fully automatic espresso maker, but this one intrigued me because it's small but seems complete. I thought I'd pick it up to compare it to my current machine. My impressions: - Maybe I've been spoiled by the single button machine I currently own, but this one takes some work to get it going. It's not so much the grinding and tamping (though there is that), but in general this espresso machine seems to require greater manual manipulation. With my current espresso machine, I turn it on and press a button to start brewing. With this one, I need to grind the beans, tamp them, scrape the top so that the cup is not overfilled, adjust the pressure, etc. - There are a lot of warnings and "if you encounter this, here's how to work around it" statements throughout the manual. While I didn't encounter any of them, the fact that they are needed suggests that the design or build of the machine may have been rushed. - Some reviewers have complained about how loud the machine is. It's actually not as loud as my current machine, perhaps due to the fact that the grinding happens separately. - I've been told that the coffee from these types of machines is better than the all-in-one because you have finer control over the grinding and tamping process. I can't comment on that specifically; I drink my coffee with cream and sugar, so the finer details of the coffee flavor escape me. I'd call this a draw. - The 2 year warranty on the unit is a definite plus. In all fairness to the manufacturer, the Espresso Machine is completely upfront about what it is, and so if you get this you'll be doing so with your eyes wide open. This is a simple Espresso machine that makes a good cup of coffee, but you'll definitely be involved in the process. ... show more

    • Great Coffee and Very Giftable
This mini espresso machine is great for my office. It comes with a Portafilter, a Single Cup Filter, a Double Cup Filter, a Coffee Powder Spoon, and a Cleaning Brush. It is the perfect gift, and the coffee tastes great! The price is phenomenal, much less than some of the others I have priced.

    • My first espresso machine
I have some friends who spent, literally over $10,000 on their super fancy, rich person coffee maker from Italy. I'm sure it's amazing. I have no interest in spending that much on a coffee maker, even if I had the money. This machine is great. I made a few shots of espresso this morning. I am still learning how to properly use the milk steamer. There were some other reviewers here who clarified how to get that working. The motor / pump makes a whirring noise, not super loud but it's certainly louder than a regular coffee maker. I'm really loving the espresso / cappuccino option now. Fun. ... show more

    • Great espresso, loud espresso maker
The media could not be loaded. This is a nice little machine that packs a lot of power. The instructions could be more clear, and I submit that the power switch markings should be more pronounced - in the instructions and on the machine itself. The reviews stating the loudness are accurate, but it's no louder than coffee house machines...it just seems so because it's in your house. The machine is fast but not as fast as other machines because you have to pre-heat the water - mere seconds, but every second counts on busy mornings. Espresso roast coffee is very fine - the instructions recommend a medium grind to avoid clogging. I submit that using a true espresso roast, one could run a water cycle afterward. The main drawback for me is that it drew so much power that my lights flickered. This is a new house and I've been running stuff including AC without issues. I'm not sure I will continue with this lovely powerhouse machine, but it sure makes great coffee. ... show more

Wonderful cappuccino, mocha or espresso machine with milk frother, I loved this machine to prepare delicious coffee, it is very easy to use and clean as well, I no longer have to wait in line or waste time in a cafeteria when I can prepare myself from home a delicious coffee, I really recommend it, it is a very good acquisition, this machine pays for itself and think about how much you will save in street cafes, and here you will always have fresh coffee and from the comfort of your home, I recommend it ... show more

This espresso machine is very compact and will fit on any counter that has limited space. This looks really good and I love the color. The instructions are pretty easy to follow, and the pieces that it comes with are easy to install. I can't wait to use this for the first time.
