5/27/20 UPDATE: I have changed my rating back to 5 stars, not only for the speaker but for iFox Creations as well. I sent an email to iFox regarding my broken speaker and I received a response the next day with an apology about the speaker no longer working. Today, I received a new speaker as promised. Thank you, Margo Dillon, for your quick response. It is great to see that companies, such as iFox Creations will honor the warranty on their product, and will replace their product should it fail during the warranty period. The only problem I have now is having to wait until the Stay In Place orders are lifted so I can dispose of it properly. π· 5/21/20 UPDATE: Sadly I must charge my rating to 2.5 stars. I purchased my speaker on 6/16/19 and approximately 2 months ago, the sound coming from my speaker sounded like a rattle was in the background. Then it would only work when it was plugged in. Now it no longer works! I will contact the seller to see if they will replace it since it is under the 1-year warranty. I like the iFox iF012 Bluetooth Shower Speaker but I am not sure if it is a new product. The box was a bit damaged and the speaker and wires were not wrapped in any protected plastic. This is another reason why I think it is not a new speaker. I was ironing when it was delivered and I immediately plugged it in so it could charge. The directions say 3 hours, but by the time I had ironed two shirts, it had a full charge! I also noticed the base is black and many other pictures show the base as a clear color, but that isn't as big of an issue for me since the speaker itself is black. 1st day I received it, I attached it to the wall of my shower and walked away. 2:00 a.m. we heard a loud crash that scared us silly. We thought someone had thrown something through the windows of the bathroom. Turn on the light to look around and once our heart beats returned to somewhat normal, we noticed the speaker was on the shower floor and decided the loud crash was from it falling off the wall and bouncing around in the shower. Thankfully no glass or tiles were broken and I sat it on the corner of the tub. The next morning, I attached it to the bottom of the glass shower door during my shower but I remove it after my shower just in case it decides to fall again. I wish I could tone down the bass. I listen to a lot of books and the voices are not very clear and the music is too much as well. I have to turn down the speaker and my phone and/or tablet considerably. I tried modifying the base and treble sounds using my phone and tablet but it's just too much for my liking - kinda sounds like a symbol or metal hitting metal with voices and if volume is turned up. This little speaker does put out a lot of sound, and because of it's size, you wouldn't think the bass would be so deep, but it is! All in all, I like the speaker and the cost is great. I am thinking of buying another one to keep downstairs - perhaps on Prime Day. π UPDATE: July 5, 2019 -- I have changed my rating from 4 stars to 4 stars. I contacted iFox regarding my concerns regarding the sound and if my speaker was new, and I received an immediate (within 2 hrs) response from Margo. This lady is on top of customer service issues! She apologized for the issues and advised me that she ordered a replacement speaker for me. I was not expecting that at all. This was on 7/1 and I received the replacement today - probably would have received it sooner if not for the 4th of July holiday. Although I have not had a chance to charge the speaker or to see if the sound is better, I give Margo ππ for making me feel like she and iFox care about their customers and wanting their customers to be happy. Because of this, I'm going to order another one to put downstairs as well as one for a friend. By the way, the replacement has a black base to it as well, but the replacement was packages differently.

Iβve been using the iF012 for a month now and so far it has been great. Iβve used it mostly in the shower, where it has been easy to control and puts out very respectable sound for a small waterproof Bluetooth speaker. Worth noting that it has connected both flawlessly and extremely quickly (typically in 1-2 seconds) every time Iβve used it. One very small quirk to note - for me, the speaker often starts out at a volume that differs from what my phone is set to (often much louder). Itβs not an issue at all, as raising or lowering the volume a notch on my phone after pairing resets the volume to the desired level immediately. Just something for buyers to be aware of (it made me jump the first few times I pressed play and wasnβt ready for it). The highlight so far though was on a recent camping trip, where we rented a boat for the day. Fortunately, I thought to bring the speaker along to have some waterproof music. The boat actually had a built-in sound system but it wasnβt working, so the speaker came in super handy. It performed surprisingly well, keeping us all entertained - even as a rainstorm moved in and pelted us for a solid hour. Waterproof, check. Loud, check. Small and easy to pack, check. Long battery life (even at max volume), check. Well worth the investment.

-At $45 I think this thing sounds good and a bit better than I expected. -Fairly balanced and clear sound. Good amount of bass but not so much that it overpowers or muddies the rest of the sound. -I like the way it looks as well. Simple and clean but with that gold trim to give it a little flair. -It weighs maybe less than you would think. It's all hard plastic besides the buttons that are rubbery and obviously the suction cup. -To test the Bluetooth range I left the speaker in the basement and took my phone upstairs and to the other end of the house and it still worked perfectly. I've never had any connection issues with it. (Motorola, Android phone) - The battery lasted about 12 hours from full charge to when it started to give me beeps every 20 seconds or so to let me know it needed to be charged. I lost track of time but It took somewhere between 2 and 3 hours to charge from that point back to fully charged. -I got this because it sounds better (or at least bigger and fuller) than my phone speaker (which doesn't sound bad to be fair). I recently noticed my phone starting to slow down a bit and I think having my phone in the steamy bathroom multiple times a week probably isn't good for it. This will be a great replacement speaker that will allow me to leave my phone safe and out of the bathroom. -I'm not going to test out it's waterproofness just because I really don't have a need to. I also have not and will not test out the suction cup by hanging it on the wall in the shower. No matter how good the suction cup is, accidents happen. This thing, which is actually fairly light, could still easily break a toe if it fell from 3 or 4 feet up or worse, make you fall in the shower. I simply have a music playlist set up on my phone already and then leave my phone in the bedroom and have the speaker play sitting on my bathroom sink. -I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone with reasonable expectations of what a $45 speaker would sound like. The only problem I had was that the separate carabiner clip was assembled incorrectly and was unusable but I don't have any need for it so it's not a problem for me. I'm sure if this happens to you as well you could call or e-mail them and they'd send you a replacement clip if you really want it.
