I have the iFLYTEK AI Tablet and was so impressed with it's abilities, I decided to give this voice recorder a shot as well. I have to say, it's ability to discern multiple people out of a group and determine who is saying what is extremely impressive. It is extremely accurate with transcribing spoken word. My main use case is in meetings where I'd like to summarize the meeting and have a handy set of notes for follow up. For that purpose it works good, but not great. When I originally got this, it said that it could "summarize" so I figured it'd be similar, if not identical to the summarization features that the tablet has. Unfortunately, there is zero "summary" functionality. It's not a huge issue, I just quickly transfer the transcript to my laptop and run it through ChatGPT or Gemini and get a solid summary that rivals the one that I get from the connected tablet. The build quality of the device is outstanding, I'd say LG level, maybe not quite Apple or Samsung. The tech in this though, especially considering the fact that it doesn't need internet to transcribe, is simply fantastic. The overall size is about the size of the OG iPod Nano with clickwheel from back in the day, but this favors a touchscreen, making it extremely easy to drop in your pocket or a laptop bag. I do think the tactile buttons are a nice touch, but you don't have any additional control over the device versus using just the screen. The screen is bright and responsive and the OS is fluid without any skipping or stalling. I like that it is password protected as well, securing your recordings and aiding in confidentiality. When connected, the device transfers super quickly but I do wish it had a usb-c output without having to use a cord, but not a huge deal at all, just another easy cord that you probably have on-hand or in a bag anyways. Overall, this recorder is super useful for recording and transcribing, all off-line, then transfering to your computer into an AI model for accurate summarization and follow ups. The only reason for the deduction of the star is because it does not summarize as it said "smart summarize" in the title when I ordered mine. Other than that, I'd highly recommend this device, great functionality, accuracy, portability and battery life.

The media could not be loaded. Design and Build The recorder itself is well designed. Compact, solid, and easy to carry. The build quality feels great, and the interface is mostly intuitive. It fits easily in a pocket or bag, making it great for on-the-go use. The touchscreen is responsive, and setup is straightforward. The buttons are your typical up/down/left/right found on digital products of this size, and they are easy to use. Recording Performance The recording function is excellent. Audio playback is ok on the tiny speaker, and the noise cancellation does a good job of minimizing background sound even in busy environments. It handles multiple voices reasonably well, which makes it handy for lectures or interviews. I tested it with an two person interview for my blog. Transcription Quality Unfortunately, the transcription feature doesn’t live up to the product’s claims. Despite being marketed as “AI-powered,” the text results often come out messy or inaccurate. In my sample video, it struggled with basic sentence structure and punctuation, even in quiet, controlled conditions. It also misheard several words that were spoken clearly. Ease of Use and Battery Life Battery performance is impressive. I got several long sessions out of a single charge, and file export is simple through USB-C. The variety of modes—Conference, Interview, and Speech—make it versatile, even if the transcription doesn’t deliver. Conclusion The design and recording quality are strong, but the transcription feels unfinished. For anyone who mainly needs a reliable recorder, this will do the job. If your goal is accurate, hands-free transcriptions, this one doesn’t quite meet expectations.
