Works, easy to install

Accidentally bought a 2-in universal toilet replacement kit. I was able to use the rest of the kit but needed a replacement for the flapper - this did the trick. The end attachments are silicone or rubber - a bit stretchy so the fit my 20+ year old toilet. No more water leaks or high bills. This is a bit flexible, so I think it will last longer than the rigid rubber ones. ... show more

We live way out in the countryside. So, We have to shop for a lot of mundane, everyday things from Amazon. We were having an almost emergency type cituation. The toilet would run several times an hour, getting worse all the time. The water bill was outrageous. The local "hardware store" had never even heard of our weird toilet size. We had to do something FAST. I was getting ready to make the sloppy journey to a Superstore, but, on a hunch, checked on Azon first. I couldn't believe it! The flapper in the toilet would not stop running, This flaper fixed it. The old flapper actually had to be cut off as it was old style integrated into the system. So happy to have found this silicone replacement where the holes expand to allow the flapper to be installed over tbe edges of the flapper bar. Staples the leak immediately. Lasted almost 2 years. Purchased October 2024, it’s currently August 2026. Found that the plastic has curled and shrank, letting water through. Worked great for almost 2 years! Wish it would have lasted a bit longer.
