I’m really impressed with the IEMAI Silk Copper filament. The copper color has a really nice metallic look and gives finished prints a much more premium appearance than standard PLA. The silk effect really stands out, especially on models with curves and lots of detail. It printed smoothly for me with good layer adhesion and the finished surface came out clean and glossy. I also like that the color looks good straight off the printer without needing any sanding or post-processing. The spool was wound nicely and I didn’t have any issues with tangling during my prints. Overall, this is a great filament for display pieces, statues, decorative models, and anything where you want that polished metallic look. Definitely one I’d buy again. Great-looking filament for the price.

I’m very impressed with the IEMAI Silk Magenta filament. It printed beautifully right out of the package with no drying or additional preparation needed. The color has a really nice, vibrant pink/magenta tone with an almost metallic sheen that gives the finished prints a premium look. It also printed very cleanly using a generic Silk PLA profile, with no need for special tuning or adjustments. The layers came out smooth and consistent, and the silk effect really stands out on the finished parts. Overall, this is an excellent silk PLA for the price. Great color, beautiful sheen, and very easy to print. I would definitely buy it again.

I picked up a roll of the IEMAI Silk Dual-Color in Red Purple to print a hanging wisteria model, and the final look is absolutely incredible. Co-extrusion filaments can be a bit tricky, but you can honestly tell exactly how this roll is going to behave just by looking at the spool. The strands are wrapped completely parallel without any crossing or twisting, keeping the red and purple split perfectly oriented the entire time. Because the factory winding is this precise, it was incredibly easy to predict exactly how the color shift would lay down on the bed and control which sides of the print would face the purple or the red transitions. The silk gloss finish itself is ultra-shiny and has a high-end metallic look that catches the light from every angle. It does an amazing job hiding layer lines on organic curves, giving the flower petals a beautiful, natural gradient that changes completely as you walk around the piece. The contrast between the rich purple tones on one side and the deep reddish-copper shades on the other works beautifully for floral or decorative models. In terms of printability, it ran flawlessly. That neat winding meant zero tangles or snags, feeding into the extruder perfectly straight to keep the dual-tone transition totally consistent without any random rotating mid-print. Silk PLAs can sometimes suffer from weak layer adhesion, but I had zero issues with parts snapping or peeling, even on the delicate stems and hanging joints of this model. It extruded smoothly right out of the vacuum bag without any stringing, popping, or clogging. If you want a high-gloss, color-shifting filament that gives you total control over your print layout without the typical silk printing headaches, this roll is a fantastic choice.

I absolutely LOVE this IEMAI Rainbow PLA! 🌈 It was honestly a dream to work with. I literally could not stop printing with it because I kept wanting to see what the next color transition would look like! The colors are absolutely gorgeous—bright, vibrant, and really beautiful in larger prints. And best of all? No drama. No tangling, no clogs, no issues at all. It just printed beautifully. I made two BIG articulated dragons and a dice roller tower, and they all came out fantastic. This filament is especially fun for larger prints because you really get to see those rainbow colors do their thing. I will DEFINITELY be buying this one again. Beautiful colors, easy printing, and great results. Somewhere over the rainbow… apparently there’s a 3D printer running nonstop. 😂🌈🐉

Used this to print a mermaid dress vase and I’m obsessed with how it turned out. The magenta pink is gorgeous with that silky shimmer that shifts a bit depending on the light looks way more expensive than it is. First layers went down perfectly, no warping or lifting, and it stayed smooth the whole print. All the folds and draping detail came out super crisp, no stringing or weird blobs anywhere. Fed through my printer with zero issues. Honestly it just looks like satin fabric instead of plastic. Roll was packaged really good.

I’m using a budget‑friendly Toybox Alpha 3 printer for this review. Regular prints are coming out clean, and the dual‑color effect hides layer lines way better than I thought, almost perfectly. Thin calibration pieces did show rough top surfaces, but actual prints didn't have those defects. Spool Roll: My spool arrived with a lot of internal twists. Sections wanted to spring outward and rotate on their own, so I wouldn’t leave it running completely unattended. There were no crossovers. Once printing starts, it feeds consistently, but the winding quality isn’t what I’d expect in this bracket. Gradients and Color Behavior: Because of the twist in the filament, the color split rotates randomly as it feeds. You can’t manually orient the spool to control which color faces the model, so you're at the whims of twists. When it lines up well, the transitions look smooth, and the red/black combination is striking. At a lower print temp, it has an almost metal-like appearance. Some sections can look more abrupt and blockish. Black‑heavy areas come out more matte, while red‑heavy areas are glossier. The winding issue is an issue for long prints, but the final prints look great partly because of those twists. The dual‑color effect does a lot of work to hide layer lines and give models a smoothed out appearance.
