  • Lid does not stay on
I am really unhappy work this product, which surprised me based on so many positive reviews. The lid does not latch or click on in any way. It does not fit snug. It rests lightly on the top, so each time I reach into the refrigerator to grab the egg tray, the lid slides completely off. When the tray is full of eggs, it takes two hands to pull it out of the refrigerator, so there is not a free hand to hold the lid on. I bought two trays, to stack one on the other. If I pull one tray out and then return it to the stack, the lid of the bottom tray slides on when I slide the second tray on top. For me, they are basically unusable. ... show more

  • This is a perfect space saver
This is a perfect space saver, and so much better than reusing the disposable cartons! I love that it is longer than a standard carton, utilizing more depth of the fridge shelf. I stack 2 on a low clearance shelf and this way can put 42 eggs in just a little more width than 24 eggs in regular cartons. Picture shows these, also the lock & lock plastic cartons, and standard cartons. ... show more

  • Exactly what I was looking for
We're a relatively healthy household of two adults and one child so we go through a lot of eggs.. I mean A LOT of eggs. At least 36 eggs a week. but buying eggs in bulk like from Costco and other similar places they all tend to come in massive containers that take up a lot of space. So I wanted to get these so that I could hold a large amount of eggs but stack them on top of each other and save some space. I originally found these at bed bath and beyond but they were $20 each and wanted to look around first. At the time of my purchase one of these was $12.56 for the clear 21 pack carton.. so that was a bargain. I liked that they sold them in sets of two but for almost double the price...? (Including screenshot) I just ordered two of the one set. They are nice cartons, sturdy solid plastic. The downside to that is that it does make it quite a bit heavier so if you're older or can't lift heavy things the 21 carton might not be for you, I can't say if the smaller packs are any lighter. We buy large eggs and they are a little shakey in the plastic carton but I think is because it's meant to fit up to jumbo size. They're in there sturdy enough where I'm not worried about them breaking either way so that's a plus. All in all I'm happy with the purchase and would make it again. If anything changes I will update. ... show more

  • Convenient, Strong Egg Container
This is one of those items you don't realize you need until you enjoy the convenience of it. You can not only easily see the eggs (no more opening a carton to realize you're down to the last egg) but it is very sturdy and protective. You know that wobbly feel of pulling a carton of eggs out of the fridge? That is gone when you have this container. Need a little extra space in the fridge? This container is so strong you can sit something on top of it which could never happen with a regular carton. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Great organizer to store eggs but not dishwasher safe
I recently purchased this plastic egg holder to have the ability to store more eggs in the fridge as I purchase the egg flats for my family. This is a nice and sturdy egg holder that is easy to clean and store in our fridge. I often needed to remind my family to remove this egg holder with two hands because the lid does not stay closed, it slides off. Beware if you buy large eggs because the lid will not close at all, it will damage and crush the larger eggs. Another important detail is do NOT place in dishwasher no matter how short the cycle (not even on the top rack) because it will come out warped and you will not be able to use anymore. I missed any notice that it was not dishwasher safe so mine ended up in the trash. Another inferior product from China sold in USA, money wasted and more China junk added to our landfills. ... show more

  • Two dozen hens and their eggs equals need for tidy storage.
Golden treasure or the versatile incredible edible egg is quite a wonder all on its own. Then we decided to raise hens and the wonder became- I wonder what to do with all these eggs, I wonder how to store them neatly, I wonder how many people I know that want fresh eggs! Prior to that we bought the large pack of eggs from Costco where the price isn't bad but the wonky wobbly plastic container was precarious for carrying said treasure to the stove without pre-scrambling them. I'm glad the stores now offer humane certified/vegetarian fed eggs but chickens are not naturally vegetarians so I snicker at that labeling as I've witnessed my free roaming chickens eat numerous bugs and slurp down a salamander whole. Do not underestimate these small velociraptors. Oh, they also think freckles are bugs to peck at. I like the design of these because they hold 21 eggs and are stackable. This is perfect if you buy a dozen eggs when you only have a few left and try to shove the full carton in the fridge with the partial carton in some sort of dominos meets Tetris with a touch of Jenga formation - with proper storage they all go together in a tidy container and lid. Grocery store eggs will fit perfectly. Farm eggs can be oversized and I've had to lay the super-sized eggs askew to get the lid on - remember, it isn't a suitcase so don't smash to make them fit! When I first bought this container we had six laying hens, then we added 21 more chickens except Surprise! one was a rooster, so twenty laying hens and I went ahead and ordered a second container. I'm considering buying more as a gift to those who accept our overabundance of farm fresh eggs. These are very durable and clean up quickly. I've only handwashed which takes seconds so I couldn't tell you how they'd do in a dishwasher. I've been handwashing everything here in off-grid land for five years and it's amazingly faster - but either way it holds eggs, washes easily and makes your fridge look a bit more organized. ... show more

  • A little pricey but I'm glad I bought these
My family uses eggs a lot. I buy eggs in bulk but I don't like to keep boxes of eggs in my fridge so I bought four of these. They stack on top of each other nicely and are strong enough to hold the weight of other items in the fridge too. The lid requires care so it doesn't move from it's resting place- but I have six children and we haven't had a problem with it. I also appreciate that I can easily see how many eggs we have left rather than opening a carton and finding I have less than a dozen to work with. ... show more
