I’ll be honest I was a little hesitant because I didn’t expect much for the price but am so glad I made the purchase. The coat is a good weight, fully lined, definitely warm although somewhere like Michigan or Albany might need a sweater underneath. I sized up as I’m athletic in build and small coats can be tight in the shoulders particularly if I layer, but this coat is cut so well it doesn’t look sloppy or large. Very comfortable, very warm, and definitely allows for layering. Now for those other short ladies out there, I’m 5ft even and the coat falls at my ankles, the waist is where it should be so again it doesn’t look sloppy or as if I’m a child wearing an adult’s coat. If you really want it mid calf and you’re under 5ft2, you’ll need a hem but I don’t think the coat needs one as it’s a classic line and actually is quite elegant. I needed a coat in a warm brown to go with winter outfits and really don’t need another one but it is such a beautiful coat I am thinking of buying another in a completely frivolous color like light grey. Bottom line, buy the coat, looks much more expensive than $55.

This coat is exceptional in quality and presentation. I have a small waist and this coat is extremely flattering. It also is very warm! I live in Michigan and we had frigid temperatures and fierce winds on Thanksgiving Day. I was warm and comfortable! I also love the pockets, the material enables this coat to be machine washable, the length is perfect in the large size. I am 5'5" and 140 lbs. This coat runs 1 size smaller = I usually wear a medium and returned it for a large. Other than this, I am very happy with my purchase and love the many compliments I've already received!

2X - Great fit, nice n warm, contours perfectly into the waistline, good shoulder space, nice substantial weight, great quality, rich dark color black, great length, 85% Polyester, Washable (15% Wool / Care instructions Machine Wash)...Will take pictures or video after a while. Warning!...(No offense intended): Don't try, if you don't have a waistline or a flatter tummy. I am 5'6", 215 Lb (never had kids or fibroids). Some who have, tend to be thick in the middle with protruding bellies which can pose a problem on this style and cut. I'm a size 1X, 2X or 3X, 47" Fullest bust/ 42" waist/ 52" hips/ (US Size PROPORTIONS), depending on style and cut. I usually look for shoulder sizes of Over 17" because I wear shoulder pads, for a classier crisp look. Because of mu weight and size, I look frumpy without shoulder pads. I hope that this information helps; because different body shapes can make for a great fit or a horrible one and it helps to know your body type, before making a purchase.

Quality is AMAZING!!! This coat is about as heavy as my leather jacket! Quality throughout! Just an AMAZING coat for the price! My one small gripe though. It does seem to run a bit small, which is really odd for a women's winter coat. I'm 5'9" and have broad shoulders in most fitted tops I fit in a large, sometimes I need an XL, XXL hoodies are very baggy on me and hit just below my butt with sleeves covering all but my fingers. I ordered this in an XL expecting it to be at least roomy enough to wear comfortably with a sweater on underneath. I was quite surprised when it arrived and proved to be just a bit too tight in the shoulders and a hair tight in the upper arms with a sweater on. That's actually a really bad combo for a women's winter jacket. We get cold easily and will likely want some extra layers on underneath any winter coat, and this coat doesn't play well with layers. I had to return mine and go up another size to a XXL just to get the size right in the shoulders and upper arms. The lining is BEAUTIFUL, the comfort of the fabric itself is luxurious. Just go up two sizes for proper winter wear underneath.
