SEE MY VIDEO FOR REFERENCE - you will need a pad to place the outside unit on (also purchased on Amazon) My husband does construction so he was able to install everything. We did hire an H VAC qualified person to vacuum the lines (required before you use!) (I think I said charge the lines in the video but I meant vacuum out the lines - lines are pre-charged but need to be vacuumed before using) Overall, great price for this product. It arrived in 2 shipments. No issues with delivery. We use this unit on a mobile home, and it keeps the entire home cooled off at 70 degrees on the thermostat. We live in the south where it is hot and humid - this unit is really good at keeping it cooled off. Highly reccommend!

I purchased this unit on March 20, waited a few days for delivery, and had my husband and his friend put it in. This was replacing a very old unit that stopped and was going to cost around $8k fr a new unit and installation. The install took around a day, including having to go buy extra fittings. The unit has since been amazing. The included remote put the ability to control with a smart phone is a great feature. The ability to adjust every aspect of the unit down to the direction and wind speed is wonderful. Our home is approximately 3k square feet, but we purchased this primarily an are that is closer to 2k square feet and it works flawlessly. It has recently been in triple digit heat here, and the unit has not failed to keep up. Our power bill has been cut in half. We are seriously thinking about purchasing a second, smaller unit for our large master bed/bathrooms. Please note, you absolutely will need an a/c vacuum to pull down machine, we used the one from our auto shop, otherwise you will have to have someone come out to do that for you. 10/10, highly recommend

I will update this later after the installation and running it for awhile. We are going to start out with one star. Just because they sent a different unit that was advertised, and didn't contact me to see if I would accept a replacement. Just because of that alone I will never deal with Idealhouse again, because they can't be trusted. I have no idea what I have. You order one thing and Idealhouse apparently will send you anything they want. I can't even find the model they sent me on Amazon. It is a Garvee. Of course the when you buy something from Amazon it is a crap shoot, because if there is a problem, you have to spend most of the day jumping through hoops to contact them. But I have no choice, I will have to install what I got, which is probably what they were hoping for. Just contacted Amazon Support. My ONLY options are return it, or use it and hope for the best, As for Idealhouse, nothing what so ever happens to them. I can't even contact them to get a explanation. 4/1/2026: Mini split installed. It does work. You need to GUESS on it's operations because there is no User Manual. Went to Garvee website and they do not supply one either. They do have a setup manual but after that you are on your own. Did finally get a message to Idealhouse through support button in orders requesting one. I will wait and see if they actually respond with one. One good reason for having a manual, when using the setting "Auto", you can not adjust the temperature which they have set for 77 degrees. Well I don't want my house at 77 degrees so hopefully a user manual will have a work around on that. 4/19/2026: Well, I can't find a work around for auto, so auto is useless. The only, only good thing about this Garvee is that it puts out heat and cold. The temperature doesn't work. So it is going to be really hot or really cold. The AC doesn't shut down at all. The coldness shuts down but the fan continually runs. That's okay if you don't mind the electric bill. The heat and fan does shut down but. In heat mode you constantly need to adjust the temperature to get it to shut down. If I set it for 68, it may shut down at 75. The IFEEL on it does not work at all. IFEEL is where the remote is to turn it on and off automatically. I set it for 68 and it will keep running even though the temperature on the remote reads 75. Lets talk about support. I have contacted IdealHouse over and over. They do not respond. As for Garvee, they have a phone number and do answer the phone when called. That is as far as it goes. They tell you that you will be contacted with in 48 hours by email. The email doesn't come. I contacted them by email support, nothing. I will tell you it is well worth it to buy American instead of buying this Chinese crap and less you like to gamble. As for IdealHouse, you would have to be bat crazy to buy anything from them because you can't trust them. When I talked to Amazon I told them Idealhouse should not even be allowed to sell on Amazon. But we all know the deal. IdealHouse would just change their name and continue to rip people off. It is the same way with Garvee. Once people wake up and quit buying their crap, they would just change their name and sell under a new name. If you check carefully, it looks like the same unit is sold under several different names anyway.

This 18,000 BTU Garvee unit is awesome! It will keep a large area very cold and I love being able to control it anywhere by using the app. It was easy to install if you have gauges and a vacuum pump.

This appears to be a rebranded unit without support of any type (part replacement, installation videos, well- drafted installation instructions). Operation by remote control only so if lost, broken or fails you are finished. Savings not worth the deficiencies.

We live in Iowa. We love our 18,000 BTU mini split. The unit was easy to install. It came with all the necessary wiring and the proper amount of freon for the 13 foot line set. The unit functioned flawlessly at -10° and kept the entire 1,300 square for area comfortably warm all while being energy efficient.
