My cat likes to go in and out all day. It’s the perfect solution for an active pet. It installs in a sash window and be sure to measure your window for the right width. It took only a day for her to learn to push the soft vinyl door open. Comes with a door cover. Another version I used (for a smaller window) had a hard plastic door, which is perhaps better for windier locations and can be locked. The insulation it comes with works well. Air comes through and flap eventually bends to let air in but great product. Just wish the flap sealed better bc I live in a hot climate so adds to electric costs with the air escaping.

Super easy set up. I watched the video, the item is always assembled. you need to buy extra insulation strip depending on how your own window sits on top of this- but it’s really minor, I had to do that for a Pet door that was for a sliding door. I would highlight recommend

This was so easy to install and my dogs picked up on it quickly! My weenie dog {age 1yr} was the first (so brave) to use it, followed by my chihuahua {11mo}. I chose the size that goes up to 35# because I have a 25# Boston mix {9yrs} and a 22# shihtzu {8yrs} as well. The Boston has also started using it, but in true shihtzu stubbornness, she will still only use the “people” door. No more barking at the window- now they can go right out into the fenced yard and really tell those squirrels who’s boss. Great, sturdy product! ... show more
