I am a private nurse with a kiddo in a special education classroom. Sometimes I am bored to death. When I asked the teacher to play some clean but adult music the kids LOVED it! We used some kiddie musical instruments one day and they all had fun but when I saw "my" kiddo with the drumsticks I knew we needed more. i bought 10 pairs of these and OH BOY! Even the most disengaged students participated in music time! These are affordable, they offer the kiddos a choice of colors and they are the absolute BEST THING for holding all of our attentions! I used these for my Health & Physical Education class. My students used them to drum and work on rhythm. They are very sturdy and have held up great over this school year. My students are very rough on them and none have broke!! I definitely recommend these if you are looking for light weight, but yet sturdy drumsticks for your kids!!! I will be buying more of these next school year to allow even more of my students to work on their rhythm!

I can't attest to how these would hold up to serious play, but they have held up really well to a curious toddler (now Kindergartener) and a small drum kit. They have been used on everything from toy drums and xylophones to a real snare drum, and make decent sound. They have also held up against whatever imaginary game the kids have played with them.

These drumsticks were short thin and very lightweight we ended up returning them. Because I needed some that were stronger to do cardio drumming with.
