I just want to state that this crate is beautiful. It looks more like a nice piece of furniture & truly made me more pleased to have in my home than a normal ugly crate. HOWEVER, the bars used are very hollow & not too secure. I also need to state that my dog is a pitbull & an escape artist so truly, I should have known better once I received this product & noticed the bars. Only giving this one star because it wasn’t clearly revealed how insecure the actual bars were prior to me purchasing. If you have a calm pup who’s not an extreme chewer like mine, you’ll be fine. But felt like I had to share my experience so anyone who’s looking to spend this kind of money on a crate is aware ahead of time not to unless you know your dog wouldn’t try to get out in anyway. This crate is very nice looking. The larger size without the divider gives my 32lbs 6mo old golden doodle puppy plenty of room to grow; it looks like it will still be plenty big when he reaches full size (approx 55/60 lbs). It was easy to assemble by myself in just about 2 hours, except that the Allen wrenches they give you strip easy (invest in a set of your own good quality ones if furniture assembly is a common activity for you). The crate itself is very sturdy and nicely designed. My only complaint is that the sliding door was hard to put on and once it is on it is not very secure. I have had it for about a week and it has come off the track three times. My dog doesn’t really try to get out of the crate but if yours does this won’t hold them. The latches for both doors (front and side) are also flimsy. It works for me and I’m fairly happy. ... show more

We just received this and put it together. Our dogs really like it and have adjusted well to sleeping in it rather than a gated-off area of the house. I was done with moving gates around every night. It looks good in the room without looking like a plastic crate.

Great piece to preserve the beauty of your home and enjoy having nice condo lol for my dog to sleep. Piece came in less than a week. Well packaged. No written directions which would help. Took about 2 hours with 2 people. The piece is sturdy however I have a 6 lb dog. I could see how it may not be the best choice for a medium or large dog especially if they move around a lot. I wish the slide latches on the front and slide door matched the oil rubbed bronze of the other hardware. I may purchase those myself and change them out. Great kennel and just what I was looking for! It was very easy to put together and looks great in the room I put it in. It is pretty sturdy, but I don’t know how well it would hold up to a dog that really wanted out of it. My puppy is kennel trained so doesn’t try at all, but everything rattles a little when he stretches out in it and kicks it. The door had also gotten a little stiff after a couple of weeks of use, but oil will probably work great on it. If you’re looking for a pretty, functional kennel for a dog that is well behaved in his kennel, this is great. If you’re looking for a sturdy kennel for a dog that wants out….I don’t think this is right for you. I have now changed my rating from 5 to 3 stars. Update- my dog has now broken out of the kennel twice. I think both times happened by accident. I think he pushed the sliding door hard enough to knock it off it’s runners while stretching, then continued to worry at it til it came off. This has now broken the wood and damaged the track that the door slides in. Definitely not a tough, durable kennel. But it was pretty while it lasted. Since I updated my review their Customer Service has reached out to be to help. They offered so much support and were so wiling to work with us even though the product was sound, just not as durable as expected. When this kennel dies I will gladly buy from them again. We plan on screwing the sliding door into the side so it can’t move and it will be more stable, then well use the side door only. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Like many of you I was on the hunt for something that was not a massive waste of space and still provided a safe space for my bestie. The Etsy ones are wayyyyy outside my price range so I settled on this little gem. I needed something to not look like a dog crate. this crate allows access in the front and the side giving me freedom to move it around where I think it suits the room best. I rearrange often so flexibility was important while my bestest boy keeps a safe space. Regular crates are not visually appealing or useful otherwise. The quality is decent for the price. Honestly I was expecting worse. This was a pleasant surprise. It took me about an hour to put it together because well I had a power drill. directions were easy. came with every thing. Nothing cracked or broken. The locks seem a little flimsy so I wouldn’t recommend any fur baby who jail breaks. Update* The wood cracked on the bottom. He stood to come out and I heard it snap below him. We had this about a month or less. He isn’t rough or jumpy. Unfortunately it’s not designed for medium/large size dogs. I Contacted the seller and they were immediately responsive and able to resolve in a timely manner. Kudos to the seller! They said it supposed to support up to 70lbs. I wouldn’t recommend any dog heavier then 50lbs. However they did help me resolve this so I have no complaints. Great customer support. ... show more
