I've only had this for a couple weeks, and so far nothing negative. This machine rocks as follows: -Love the stainless steel, sleek design. Matches everything in my kitchen. Machine is taller than I realized, so be sure you've factored in spacing required for going under cabinets in kitchen, or put in open space with nothing above it. Mine fits comfortably under a cabinet. -Performs as expected. Inside stays clean. We use purified water only for ice cubes, which reduces and even eliminates staining. No smell inside or out. -Super easy to start and stop. You're only going to be using the start and select buttons. That's it. Easy to clean and wipe down. Water resistant. -Not super loud. Pretty minimal IMO. -Creates ice pretty quick but allow it to go through several cycles of you want more ice. -To prevent ice from melting once dispensed in basket, I scoop it out immediately and put it in a Ziploc freezer bag. Each time ice is dispensed I do it again. Pull the bag out of the freezer and repeat process...scoop ice in, seal and put back in freezer. This way we have a whole gallon size bag full of ice in the freezer ready to be used that same day or next day. This does mean you'd have to be on standby, but I love doing it this way. Ice generally doesn't freeze together either making it difficult to break apart once in freezer. When I put the full bag of ice in my freezer, I lay it flat so there's no ice clumps. Easy peasy. The only negative thing IMO is that this product doesn't come with a magnetic strip or fixture of some kind to be able to keep the white scoop stored on the side when not in use. Not a deal breaker, though...my husband and I plan on investing in one just to keep the scooper off the counter. I usually sit it on top of the machine where the window is. I've only had this for 1 month, but so far this ice machine has been great. It's a great size so it doesn't take up that much countertop space. I use ice with almost all my drinks and the amount of ice this machine makes within a few hours is great. It doesn't make that much noise that it's noticeable either. Using it is really simple. Cleaning is really easy as well. In general, these sorts of machines can get very dirty over time and difficult to clean due to hard to reach areas. But this machine is very straightforward and so far the main areas have easy to reach spaces to clean. Draining it is also easy and because it's compact you can put it beside your sink and drain out the water inside with the hole at the bottom. I actually like this machine. Pros are that it makes a perfect size ice in two different sizes and it is easy to fill and clean and it is slightly compact enough to fit on my counter. The con is not really a con but it may annoy some people. There is not anything in the machine that keeps the ice cold once it is made so you either need to make it and take it out and put it in your freezer and turn the machine off or you need to leave it on continuously. When left on continuously, it makes the ice and then as the ice melts it starts back up and re-makes it. Every time you open the lid to get ice, it will regenerate and make more. I drink a 40 ounce Stanley a few times a day and I just love having ice available. I do have to leave it plugged in and on at all times but I have not noticed any issues and there is always ice when I need it. But you should note it does not make it in 10 minutes as described and the first time that you plug it in it takes a long time, but then it stays caught up . It is not a large amount of ice but enough to fill a 40 ounce Stanley and then it needs to make more. My refrigerator does not have an icemaker, so this has been super awesome for me. But as I said, for people that are annoyed by some thing, running all the time, this would not be for you. It does run frequently throughout the day/night. ... show more

This ice maker has been a lifesaver for me. I decided to try this one because of the reviews and because I was tired of refilling ice trays for years. It will not disappoint. Don't be mislead due its size because it sure does produce the ice. I have enough of the bullet ice that we never run out. I can make it every other day or two and put it in freezer bags and have plenty for two people. I have had it about a month and it has been the best thing that I have purchased in a long time. The cleaning cycle is a breeze and takes no time to do as well. Just sit it near the sink area for drainage when you're finished and dry it well and it works great. ... show more

This machine worked GREAT!!! However, after 5 months it quit. Tried unplugging it so it could reset. Wouldn't work. I kept getting the red light "fill" even when it was full with water. I am bummed because we don't have a refrigerator ice maker. So back to making ice with trays. I would say just save your money. I want something that will last longer than 1 year. ... show more

October 2025: This purchase was caused by the purchase of a new refrigerator. The new frig does not have an ice maker, making it much more reliable than the regular products. I use distilled water in this machine to reduce gunk buildup as well as supporting the process of regular cleaning. Once I start the cleaning, per instructions, I let the unit dry upside down before I park it back in the pantry with its cover that I purchased. Time will tell if my efforts impact the durability and cleanliness. I do like the ice that it produces. I just keep the products in a two gallon zip lock in the freezer. ... show more
