My opinion after a couple of hours of using the ice maker. The instructions were a bit lacking, but it is easy to figure out. The water reservoir doesn't hold a lot, although we must remember that this is a countertop ice maker, not a commercial one. It doesn't take up much room at all. Basically, you turn it on, put water in it, put the ice catching basket in it, and walk away. It will stop when the basket is full and start again when it is emptied. It makes the cutest little ice cubes!! My plan is to get a couple of 1 gallon zip lock bags full and put it away until one of the bags needs to be refilled. You do have to let it sit for a bit when it arrives (as with anything that deals with Freon like freezer and refrigerators) to allow the Freon to settle properly. One reservoir of water makes 6 cups of ice cubes. The water doesn't drain COMPLETELY - there was a little bit of water in the ice maker when it said it was out of water (I'm sure there's a suction part that isn't that low or something). One basket holds 3 cups of ice. So, it filled the basket twice. 6 cups of ice cubes is about 1/2 gallon in the freezer zip lock bags. There are 16 cups in a gallon but we have to account for space and air in the ice. So, two fills of water gets a person 1 gallon zip lock bag of ice. I can honestly say it doesn't take long. I didn't time it because I wasn't there immediately to refill or empty the basket.

I have had a counter top ice maker for a while now but the biggest problem is that there is not a good way to get into the back part of it to clean it. back in the back where the ice is formed it builds up brown algae and is very very difficult to get back there to clean it out so as you can imagine it gets pretty gross. So this new one i really like because there are screws under the door that you can remove to remove the top and then be able to get into it to clean it properly and it also has a self clean feature. It is a bit smaller than my other one and only has one size of ice cube but to be honest it seems to put out just about the same amount of ice as the bigger unit. It takes up less space on my counter top and works just as well, So really I love everything about this little ice maker. I hope it will hold up and last as long as my other one has. The price is reasonable and the quality seems good. i would recommend to others

The media could not be loaded. This certainly is a fast counter ice maker. 9 small hollow ice cubes are made about every 10 minutes. The machine makes a little noise when taking water from the reservoir into the ice making area, and a fan runs while making the ice. You can hear the fan running, but it isn't a loud disturbing noise (listen to the video to hear it). The ice catch area fills within an hour. The ice maker comes with a small scoop, but no where to hold the ice scoop. I'm not sure this is worth the $90 price tag considering how little ice the unit holds, which needs to be emptied repeatedly and often to make a quantity of ice. The hollow ice cubes also don't last very long. I'm giving the ice maker 4 stars because it works exactly as advertised.

The media could not be loaded. This ice maker works really well. It is pretty compact in size and would be portable too. It is pretty exciting to watch. It holds about 5 cups of water and will make ice until the basket is full. It does have a fan sound to it and isn’t completely quiet. The unit itself does not refrigerate. The cubes that are frozen will melt back into water unless you put them somewhere else like the freezer when they are finished. Overall this is a unit that will make ice and help keep you fully stocked when you have guests etc.

My daughter and her friends go through a lot of ice when they're over (no idea what they're doing with it), especially after marching band and on weekends. This little ice maker keeps up with them, though, and I was honestly surprised how much it's getting used. I thought the novelty would wear off, but I was mistaken. It takes about 15 minutes for the first patch to get done, and around 10 minutes for every one after. The ice is good quality, too, not too hard or soft and a good size without being too small to melt too quickly in a drink. I suspect the kids are eating the ice instead of putting in liquid, but I put some in my Scotch and it worked well enough :D It's not small, but it doesn't really take up that much counter space. When not in operation, I have whoever used it last wipe it down and put it in a cabinet, as it's light enough to easily move around. I don't think it's particularly loud, but we always have a TV, dishwasher, music, people running around etc., and we don't really use it at night. I don't find it to be too much louder than an air purifier or the Vornado. If you're looking for a way to make decent amounts of ice quickly, this is a great choice, and the price is pretty good, too.

So I have been making myself a lot of iced coffee and having this next to my nespresso has been a game changer! This thing is so cool (lol) and I love the little ice cups it makes. You just have to keep the take filled with water and it keeps me full of ice. So much easier to fill than ice cube trays. It also makes the ice so fast. It makes a small batch of ice in about 8 minutes and enough for my iced coffee in about 30 minutes. They come out as little ice cups. The only complaint I have is it can be a little loud in the middle of the night.
