I purchased the icemaker because I just had surgery and I needed ice constantly. It didn’t make ice the first time for like a day. A couple days later I retry it it and it started make a nice pretty fast. The downfall with the machine is the ice melts almost as soon as it’s made it, and it turns back into the water and is remade again and again and again. I expected it to make ice and the ice stay there until I use it. The ice was never real solid. My fix was that I put a container into my freezer and would start dumping the ice into it. My electric bill did go up about $30 using this. So now I’m just plugging it in and using it when I need ice replaced in my freezer. I’m not sure that the way this runs is the way they all run so anybody out there have experiences with other machines I would love to hear from them.

NEW UPDATE: I just wanted to share my solution for the leaking ice machine just in case anyone else is experiencing the same issue. I bought a drip tray that you would use on your counter underneath a dishes rack, that has a slight lean and funnels the water into the sink (picture provided) and it has worked like a charm. No more water all over my counter, water just runs right into my sink now and I got a neon green one so it actually matches my crazy kitchen theme and looks cool. Ice machine is still cranking out fresh delicious crunchy nuggets of ice all day for my dog and I to enjoy and now that I found a remedy to the main issue I had, I am truly in love with this machine once again. NEW REVIEW: Trust me, I still do love this ice maker and use it all day every day, but I bought this in April and it worked fine until recently. Now it occasionally leaks water all over my counter (only once in a while.) I tried the product support answers that they offer on Amazon for a solution and the solutions didn't fix it. The only guess that I have is that maybe sometimes it defrosts or something? Not sure but it's a bummer, because this machine was 100% awesome until the leaks began. Seems to be dripping out of the bottom where I can't get to too fix it. My original review is below, and I did take off one star for the leaking problem. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Great price, works fantastic. Gives me and my dog ice to snack on all day! I'm just hoping that it doesn't break down because so many reviews of ice machines in general complained of that. I'll be bummed if it ever does!!

I didn’t realize that you have to empty the ice tray several times a day. No big deal since I just transfer it to the freezer. Works really quick and I like the size of the cubes.

This is a great little machine to have ice all the time. You don't have to worry about running water lines. This makes so you can use it anywhere there is electricity. Easy to use just add water and push start and you'll have ice in a few minutes.

I loved the idea of this because I needed ice ASAP because my fiance is recovering from shoulder surgery and was sent home with an "recovery ice cube" machine. It takes a lot of ice and I only have ice cube trays. So I thought this would be a perfect solution to get him his ice much faster. WRONG. It takes forever to make 9? micro sized cubes! They're the LARGE ones too! I can't imagine the small option. I would test it to see, but I don't have the time with this thing to even see what the small ones look like, nor do I really care. This was a dud, for me anyways. I honestly don't see the purpose! You'll def get better results with good ol fashion ice cube trays! Save your money on this one!
